You could play strategy games like Civ on it with no issues, Indie games and anything turn based is likely to be ok as well. Where it will struggle is rendering decent graphics at speed in games like grand theft auto or first person shooters.

Missed out because I was f*****g about with cashback. Looks like it might have been be pricing error but good luck to those who managed to order. Recently got a 13" MacBook Pro 2015 for £650 from Amazon which was probably an error too (the price went up to over £1000 shortly after)but they honoured it.

Don't think it's a pricing error. Anything at Currys with a 97p at the end is clearance stock. The main issue will be if they really have any stock, or enough stock to meet the orders.

It is a terrible OS as its not intuitive. Sure, it is a more reliable OS but most things that are less used will be; lets wonder how good MAC OS will be if they were mass market like windows.

Macs look nice but they are ridiculously overpriced for the spec, which is why it hasn't been widely adopted.

I'm not an Apple fan. I prefer to tinker. All I'm saying is that's how they appeal to home users. They clearly have niche advantages over windows for some use cases e.g. DTP, video editing but, for most home users, the appeal is buying something that works out of the box and where they don't need to understand the inner workings.

Why do you think universities are buying more and more Mac's to replace Windows computers? It's because once students have got to grips with them it's all they'll use. Had to buy my own macbook in the end because the iMac's were always taken.

How many £600 does it take to earn interest, triple the original £600 price of the only one they had available? This is why I demo items in Currys and then buy cheaper from Amazon. You should check out their Facebook page with complaints all over it!

Oh, I was just going with what I was told and what the person above me had said in the Facebook response, regarding it being a mis-price

I ordered at 9.19am and received a text to say my order will be delivered by DPD on October 11th. When I click the DPD tracking I see the following:


10 Oct 2017 15:49 DPD Customer Return to consignor has been requested
10 Oct 2017 15:23 Lincoln Your parcel is on its way

I am guessing this means Currys have requested the parcel back from the courier to cancel more than likely? Anyone else have something similar?

As far as I can tell, the issue with all the 97p Currys offers is that try have little to no warehouse stock. Generally, they are not available to order online but only pick up in store. In this case, they messed up. It's possible you'll find them in store despite the cancellations.
