Comparitively, they are way cheaper than Waitrose for the quality of wine. Their buyer clearly knows his/her stuff.

Asda does have some good prices. I also rate Aldi wines; mostly very good & very good value but not perfect. Recently one red touted as a cheap 'Amarone' was just too sweet for me; that in my mind was a poor wine.
I buy wine from both these supermarkets. As always I would try a wine once before buying multiple bottles of it.
