Was £509.99, now £299.99. Cheap for a G-Sync monitor, and especially cheap for a 240hz + G-Sync monitor.
It is ofcourse TN, so colours won't compare to VA or IPS, but it is designed for gaming and has fast response times, ULMB and a high refresh rate.
This monitor was not worth it at the original price point, but with this massive reduction is much more tempting.

Has anyone received theirs yet? I paid for the monitor on Saturday night while it said there was available stock, haven't had any notification of dispatch as of yet so I created a webnote, have been told the monitor is no longer in stock and has caused my order to be delayed. He immediately offered me to pick another monitor of the same value, completely defeats the point of getting this promotion.
I can't see them getting more of these as they are clearly end of line, they have also pulled the product off the website completely.

One of the OCuk employees (Gibbo) said this about the monitor:
Guys the 240Hz is really flying and as such were nearly sold out, if your considering one please be quick as no idea if Acer will repeat it because of the huge cost to them, its £200 per panel support.
Be quick, sales are insane, probably be gone today.
You cannot find a 144hz IPS monitor with G-Sync for anywhere near this price

I can imagine after seeing 240hz then sitting down in front of a 60hz monitor in the office.. Must be painful.

Is it worth going from 144 to 240hz? Do you notice much difference?

There is a difference but it isn't hugely noticable. I wouldn't upgrade from 144hz to 240hz unless you absolutely must have the smoothest everything.

Personally 144hz 1440p is the way to go ! My 27” IPS predator was the nuts but moved on to ultrawide now and they only go up to 100hz at the moment.

What is generally the best 1440p mon to go for the ips predator ones have bad reviews from quality control issues and God knows when the ultra wide 200hz are coming out

There's some real diminishing returns. Hard to justify jumping from 144hz to 240hz unless you're on a professional team and playing something like CS:GO. Otherwise, 144hz is ample.
