Be careful. Just leaving this network, no incoming calls , outgoing are fine. They blame EE server, no ETA for the repair, nothing. Also they makes difficult to get your PAC code.
Your millage may vary.

Cheers for the heads up on this. Rang O2 to get my PAC to get this, earlier this morning.
Mentioned this specific deal, and they only offered 500mb data (albeit unltd mins and texts) for the £8 a month. The lady then checked with a colleague and then was able to add a 3GB bolt on free of charge.
So, in brief, unlimited minutes, unlimited texts, same 3.5GB data, for the same price. Trade off being I'm locked in for another 12 months but O2's CS is excellent and I still get O2 Priority I suppose.

I’m with Bt (EE Network) and my wife’s with O2. I was on O2 for years but switched to Bt when I changed my phone this year. To be honest when my contract runs out will probably switch back to a Simm only deal with O2 purely on the quality of the coverage around me but they certainly run one of the more expensive mobile phone tariffs in comparison with other providers.

I finished a 3 SIM only contract a while ago and swapped over to a monthly SIM with Plusnet (deal posted on here about 10 days ago). I was told that my number would be ported over last Monday, however, it is still not entirely done. I can only make calls and receive texts. Nobody can call me and none of my texts get through. I've called up Plusnet and they thought that it was a split SIM problem, so yesterday I received a duplicate SIM with my ported number on it, however, I still have exactly the same problem. I called 3 this morning and they said that the number has completely been ported over and that the issue is with Plusnet. I'm self-employed, travel around, and rely on various companies (who I work for) to contact me via my mobile phone for work projects, but now they are only able to contact me on my home phone (if I am at home). I also have children, the youngest being 10, so if there is a problem at school, the school can't contact me now if I'm out and about working. I just wish now that I hadn't asked to port my number, but just thought it would make things easier for me, which has not been the case.

I switched my son to this deal in July. He was already on a cheaper plusnet tariff. It seemed to take forever to sort out on the phone. They had to send a new sim for some reason, but all seemed to work......until I just went online and noticed they have left him on the previous tariff. Bunch of muppets.

Not moaning about this deal, I'm stating facts about my experiences over the years with them. Just because you've never had a problem doesn't mean there aren't any. If you read this thread, there are others looking to leave as well. Fyi, i post both positive & negative opinions on hukd to help other's make an informed decision. It's funny a lot of reviews will always be negative on anything because people will complain about it but hardly ever take the time to positively review. I'm saying your moaning about a deal which you are trying to say is a widespread issue. Myself along with a lot of customers never had a problem with plusnet.

For those of you looking for a decent deal, try this. I'm was with Plusnet getting 2GB 4G Data / 2000 Mins / 1000 Texts for £7.50pm (30 day rolling contract). I called Plusnet to request a PAC code so that i can join newly launched smarty mobile which would of given me unlimited mins/texts & 2gb data for £7.50. Anyway Plusnet have now upgraded me to 5GB 4G Data / Unlimited Mins & Texts just £7.50 (30 day rolling contract).

I stopped trusting Which ISP reports the day they gave Talk Talk top billing, bearing in mind that TT have also topped the OFCOM list of complaints per 1,000 customers for about 5 straight years.
I can only conclude fat brown envelopes are changing hands.
TT Mobile has also generated a huge volume of complaints, apparently it isnt bad if you can actually get connected, but many people were getting a half service, either could make but not receive calls, or able to receive but not make calls.
And as always, it comes down to customer support, and TT has very bad form in that department, and they NEVER seem to learn.
Talking of never learning reminds me of their string of data breaches - which also reminds me that Yahoo slipped out a minor correction earlier this week; the 2013 data breach that they finally admitted to in 2016 wasnt limited to the half billion accounts they initially claimed, nor the 1 billion accounts they admitted to in early 2017, they have now admitted it was all 3 billion accounts; across their own service and those they ran for the likes of BT, PlusNet etc.
Yahoo's CEO just bailed with a $55 million pay-off.

Here is the problem as well. Everyone expects everything differently. Try being on giffgaff and waiting hours or days for an email because they don't have a customer service phone number. Never been on hold with them myself for more than 5 minutes. Live chat also extremely helpful. If you want so much for so little money I suggest trying paying more for it. But doesn't make a difference because the major networks are overpriced and customer service is appalling.

Just switched 4 phones onto their last £5 deal. Problem after problem, still not fully sorted after a month. Customer service is abysmal & waiting times are long. Coverage is meh, looking to leave once a better deal comes along. You'd think I'd learn after their crappy broadband a decade back. The money they spend telling us how great they are should be spent on staff training/customer service!.

I'm currently with giffgaff 5gb for £15pm. Heard mixed reviews about Plusnet mobile so not sure wether to switch. What's their 4G speeds like and general coverage compared to giffgaff??? I've checked the online maps but i prefer people's experience over business data.

5 Oct 17#19
"business data" I.E. Coverage maps will tell a much better story than peoples opinions on the internet.. Unless those are the opinions held by people who live, work and commute exactly as you do  Honestly though don't make the mistake that I and countless others have made, read a few X has terrible coverage and Y is much better or friends / family slating a network because they don't get coverage in their basement. Stick to the facts.
I've not had any issues with the mobile side of things put their customer service has been top notch for broadband.
xmassacrex to Azurren
5 Oct 17#40
Thanks for the reply. The reason i say "business data" is because on the maps it shows great signal in certain areas close to me, and yet when im there i get no signal at all. My partner is with the same carrier and has the same issue so was trying to find a more reliable provider. Ive never been with ee/plusnet so i guess theres only one way to find out. The bonus is with it also only being a 30 day contract.
Yeah ive literally just switched to GG today. The 4G seems pretty consistent which is good, but if i can save money switching then its a no brainer really. Thanks for the feedback, think i will contact GG tomorrow to get my PAC

I used to be on giffgaff myself and move to plusnet in February this year. Internet 4g is much better speeds gg I was getting 10mb now I'm getting 26mb. Customer service is 24/7 and actual human beings who you can talk to unlike giffgaff. Signal and call quality no issues. Overall best decision I made was leaving giffgaff
Any ideas when this expires ? Took out a sim only with The Peoples Operator but their Internet coverage is pants and i"m not to keen on their registering for foreign use - send 3 months bank statements and pay £50 deposit just to use abroad , not like they haven"t got your DD details to charge you if you run up a bill ...

Im currently with giffgaff pay £5 for 100mb, 150mins, 500text. Mostly used mins and data. What i like about giffgaff is you are not tied to one Goodybag can change it after a month.
However, I want more data and mins for around the same price. Is there any current good deals around? Mostly use data for the internet, whatsapp/viber,and youtube. How much would suffice ? 2gb? I only need data when im out if not just use the Wifi home and at work.
