I have one, bolted to the wall and floor under the stairs. I keep some cheap but impressive jewellery in it, together with a bundle of 100 Malagasy Ariary notes. Relatively easy to find - it should keep any intruders amused for a while rather than looking to see if there is another safe somewhere. But it looks credible and doesn't (I believe) succumb to the "tap with a potato" test that many of the cheapest "electronic" safes do. (Bounce the solenoid release armature against its spring by thumping the outside case hard enough).
I tend to do the same thing with hotel safes. Give them something to find, so they will stop looking...

What do you put in these? I would have thought things were a bit obvious in a safe (which can no doubt be opened in minutes), better to hide stuff instead.

So if a burglar/thief manages to break into this safe and stole cash/valuable items, then can claim up to 2000 cash with Yale directly?

No you would need your own insurance and they would cover you upto £2k cash because thats the safes rating

no, it is likely to add £2000 to your home insurances cash cover if they agree that the safe was properly installed. (it will be in the t&cs of your home insurance)

Keep looking at these but feel I need a fire safe.

totally different items for different purposes, a fire safe protects from fire but can be sawn in half to gain entry so is not suitable as a security safe.

So best to buy a bigger fire safe and put this safe in

normally you'd do it the other way round, security safe attached to the floor/wall etc. and then a smaller fire safe for items that cant easily be replaced. documents, hard drive data etc.
