Unbelievable, first and last time i use this company.

They are trying to tell me the phone isn't in stock and won't be until the 15th October now. Even though its showing g in-stock on the website

They want me to cancel the order I think. They don't wanna honour it

My tracking says it’s sent to overseas. But that was 1 week ago!!

A couple more points for this phone, like my oneplus one I had I can't get usb otg or my computer recognise the phone to transfer files. I've installed mi PC suite and still no good. Also I'm really glad I bought the mi WiFi repeater for 6 quid. This phone specially recognises the WiFi with a mi symbol and it works better even though it was borderline across the road not I have access to my mum's WiFi throughout my house

Or more to the point, £149.10 now Instead ... :-(

I raised a ticket asking what was happening , and was told out of stock and discontinued and was asked to take a refund of either store credit or original payment.

if they had said waiting stock then I would have waited, hopefully be on offer again....

7-15 days till they get stock.

if they dont have them why they not refunding us strange is they have arrival notice on this phone like they expect more to came
edit : ive just spoke with them on live chat they wait on warehouse to ship phones to them it will be very soon they said

send them a ticket and see what they suggest, i'd take a refund

You also mentioned a screen protector from AE. You should check to see if you chose the right one. The hall sensor wasn't the only change to the front. The earpiece speaker, camera and light sensor are closer together and the notification LED changed position, so screen protectors with the 3 hole cutouts or ones with coloured borders won't fit if it's for RN4.

Someone else on a RN4 thread months ago encountered the same problem. The hall sensor which detects the magnet moved so you'd need one that is for Redmi Note 4X or is specifically advertised for 'Global Version', for example the Nilkin Note 4X flip case<. Xiaomi also have an Official Flip Case< which would work on this phone.

Edit: Just noticed your earlier comment saying it was a Nilkin one you got off Banggood which I assume was this one< but the one which would work is this one<

I think you might be right as I received my phone yesterday, the cover fits but it won't turn on or off on smart lock as the magnet at the bottom of the case isn't in the correct place to make it work, might send of for the 4x cover and see, but been reading that it might not work either, if anyone has a cover that works could they let me know which version it is.

Yep same here, support were useless. It does say in their FAQ that it can take 3-10 working days just to dispatch!!

I think I had the option to order the redmi 4, 4x, or global, I think I ordered the global, won't know if it fits for a while as my phone has been sitting at Heathrow for 4 days, hope to get it soon :thinking:

As far as I can see, each seller just randomly decides what to call their phones. Global is often, however, used to designate phones with b20 (I see Gearbest follows this convention). No need to pay more for a Global version unless one needs b20.

And if one doesn't need b20, no reason to pay extra for an International version. Chinese version has English and will work just fine here.

I originally bought Global versions, but then bought an International and finally just a standard (Chinese) one, and frankly I can't see any operating difference.

Don't even try to figure out the differences between ones made for (in?) different markets, like India, there's no end to it, and it seems impossible to get any official information from Xiaomi.

And finally, most importantly to my daughters, non-Global versions have far cooler colours!
