Haha. Yes, I believe him. Just worried in case they were starting to contact people in an effort to cancel the 20% discounted orders.

Because the voucher wasn't working and I accidently placed the order whilst trying to sort my basket out! Would you mind taking a screenshot of your confirmed order please? They said to me that it counts as an electrical item (even though it's not in the electrical section) so I can only get 10%.
I'll of course edit out your order number or anything else identifying.

Yep, got a confirmation email the day after I placed the order with the 20% off applied. Also had 2 missed calls from them same day but nothing since. How come you were talking to customer service?

I had 20% applied to my order but it was for the Xbox One X console only. I did have a missed call from them yesterday making me wonder if they were going to change and/or cancel it but the order has been fully processed when I look on my account.

The call is just to confirm everything it's like a security check. If you miss the call they could cancel just ring them back to confirm

They only gave me 10% they said this, is that right?
I have a query about an order : Thank you for your email. Please be advised that the promotion code in question states that it is 10% off electrical items. This item is classified as an electrical item as it is a disc for a console. Thank you for your time.

it wasn't the scorpio edition they changed the website / bundle around and the link ended up becoming 'dead'

No with the code applied I get it for £428 - not interested in the scorpio edition tbh.

21 Sep 17#87
Yeah, sorry for any confusion on my part. I used the 20% off code in the first post. The 20% was applied immediately, so I paid £228 total. Well, technically added £228 credit to my account, which I have 12 months to pay (interest free). I've received order confirmation, I just have to wait until the end of October for delivery. That's fine as I wasn't going to buy a Switch until Odyssey is released anyway.

I did notice that, but if that is the case I wouldn't trust Very on the matter, I went through a similar offer last year for the One S, and not only did that change from a 12 months BNPL later offer to 3 months, I didn't get the £50 credit added to my account, and it took me months of phoning to get them to credit the amount.
However the way the other comments are worded it sounds like they already got confirmation of the money off, because if it is that you are going on good will of Very, chances are they will turn the credit down, specially as the offer is for computers, and would be something you couldn't really dispute.
veato to Harryisme
21 Sep 17#85
All done! Signed up for a credit account and selected 9 months BNPL. Looks like it's interest free if paid before the buy free period although I intend on just paying it off in one lump before anyway. Crazy deal!

I've tried just adding a laptop thats in the section when you click "shop now" in the offer details and its still acting the same when you input the code. It looks like it just adds 12 months bnpl but no mention of the £100 cash back which is odd. I can't seem to get the live chat to pop up in my account section either which you once could.

21 Sep 17#83
I'm sure when I've done similar deals at Very you see the offer when you add the code. I've done it with £50 off xbox consoles and £100 off an ipad Air.
Has anyone else took the chance and can confirm if it shows in the account that its been accepted?

21 Sep 17#80
This one did when I was sent the code last month- it was in the section marked £100 off with code with £500 spend or £50 if under £500
halfbakedjake
21 Sep 17#79
I think its because the credit gets added on November the 9th ( its says on the info about the offer code ) So you could order and hope the credit gets added, it should as the code is being accepted but im not sure i trust very to add the credit and by that time the xbox will have arrived or been dispatched

Just got my order confirmation email which is good. Noticed a small note saying I don't need to pay for delivery as it's coming direct from the manufacturer. Not sure if this is a concern. Do Very not have their own stock allocation?

The LWWRW code for computers? I can't get this code to work on any browsers, (I've tried Chrome, Firefox and even Edge) normally when you enter a incorrect code it tells you the code doesn't apply to this account or something, it just accepts the code but doesn't show the reduction in amount, I even added a Computer to see if it gets added props for that, but even then it doesn't activate.
I know something is happening because it changes the the BNPL to 12 Months, but other than that the price stays the same.
diazepam
21 Sep 17#76
Try a different browser? I ordered a Switch with this code and was able to add 12 months BNPL without any problems. Order confirmation email received this morning. Order being processed etc by supplier. I was surprised a BNPL option was available to be honest, but hey, I'll take it. £228 inc delivery and a year to pay is a bargain.
trakker1
21 Sep 17#75
How did you manage to get this to work? for me when I enter the code it just refleshes the page and doesn't add it.
Did it show once you added the code that the £100 back offer was applied? It looks like its adding the 12 BNPL but says nothing about the £100. Does it say anywhere after ordering that you will get the £100?

I actually did a similar deal when the PS4 was released (about 4 years ago now) through Very. It was again a credit deal discount code pre-order, and they were absolutely fine then. So hopefully this will be the same again.
They do have a bit of a bad reputation on here though for cancelling orders etc so I would keep an eye on emails and check your account from time to time. But my experience with them has been positive.
