Great deal, though I think you do have to consider this is only available if you set up a credit account with them, you can't just pay with card, paypal etc like you can on most other retailers so not 100% like for like. Still for anyone wanting it for launch this is definitely the cheapest way to do it....

I just set up a new account with them, and everything went smootly, then i went and forgot to add the discount code like the clot i am, so had to cancel it via phone, which they assume me did not go through even though it says pending on my account, we will see...anyway did it a second time and added discount code, and bang......pre order XBX, £363, and my trade price for my present xbox slim is for £130 cash at this moment.....so XBX for £233 which if you waited for would take say a year or two to get near that price level, not bad at all. :smile:

I ordered this yesterday with the fifa 18, extra controller and live 12 month subscription bundle. I was gonna order all the extra stuff anyway and figured I would struggle getting all that with 20% off elsewhere.

I did this with the original XONE using very new customer and TCB and got £60 TCB at the time so the XONE cost me about £300 all in on day one which was £100 saving at the time.

Man, their trustpilot rating is awful. There's even a Facebook group regarding their poor customer service. I was almost tempted until I read all that.

Microsoft need to show me a new UI first, the Xbox One is horrible right now. I also want exclusives, the PS4 and Switch have a ton, but Halo, Forza and Gears are so long in the tooth now... I have a PC for Multiplatform, so they need new exclusives.

I believe there is an updated UI in alpha, I imagine that gets released to coincide with the one x release. Not sure if it will sort your issues with it though.

Ah ok - account specific how so? Didn't choose credit as it offers that anyway if you do that, but it says 10% on electronics? As OP didn't mention credit (unless I missed that?) I assumed it was for usual purchases.

And it's well deserved. To anyone using this voucher code, keep an idea on your bank statements. They have a nasty habit of taking the code back off later, then as the cost is now higher they start to charge you interest -without- telling you

Forget phoning to sort it out, all the customer service people can do is send an email to the next level up, they have no power to do anything

For those saying the code is invalid you need to put the code in before you click the button for buy now pay over 12 months. You shouldn't have to restart the process tho, If you click the bnpl button again then do the code then click bnpl it may work, did for me

No you don't, GWG aren't tied to your console, it's just your gamertag. So you can sell your Xbox One S whenever you like, claim the gold games online

They mean get the free game onto their account, as you say this could still be done on the website so that's not a problem. Something that you must do is deactivate the console from being your home one. I got one from cex a while back with 100 or so games showing up in the install list and it turned out some poor sod had left their account setup as the home, even after the console had been reset and no gametag was present.

It'll be a security check most likely, I don't think they hang about if you don't answer the phone I had one too , was because of an old account at a different address.

I've taken the plunge and all ok so far. Not really bothered about having the Scorpio edition, the print on the controller is ugly, and at nearly £100 less this makes too much sense.

Just as an FYI close your account afterwards using the online chat. You can then download the transcript if you have problems later down the line.

Meh - haven't known this before (increasing total after order). If the item qualifies for 10% off only this usually shows in the basket when you order. I tried it for a TV last week for example and it only took off 10%.

So with the order going through at 20% off Id bet we are OK. Possible incentive to pay the whole thing off now though still? I was just going to do that whole Take 3 thing..

Customer services confirmed only 10% off. Other orders now being cancelled.
Had to call them as discount wouldn’t apply at all. Manually added at 10% so i challenged it and they sent me TCs and asked if o wanted to accept 10% or cancel.
Might just cancel and go to Argos with the Minecraft code.

Really don't get how they are saying this and happily dispatching the PS4 pro and Xbox one s with the same code at 20%.

They can still put that extra 10% saved back on your credit account. Not saying they will but this company have been known to amend a completely paid off order due to voucher errors or what not. Wouldn't even question it but these phone calls about the voucher only meant to be 10% is somewhat worrying with the companys track record.

i have xbox one S for a year and so much better than Xbox one, i have ps4 pro and ps4 pro is so much better than xbox one S ,i ordered Xbox X ,i watched lots and lostssss YouTube video about xbox x ,i think on my 4k hdr tv wont be much difference between xbox S and xbox X ,according to Microsoft xbox X 40 % better than xbox S ,lets see it is true or not in real life .

It's 40% better than the ps4 pro, when they say any other console they are aiming that at Sony and not the Xbox one s. I'm not sure of the figures compared to the s model but it would be more than 40%.

Got me worried now this. Ive paid in full. When the console comes on november 7th can I cancel the credit agreement straight after to avoid been charged anything else or am i tied in for so long?

I really wouldn't worry about it, The console without the code is RRP and if they reduce it to 10% off it's still cheaper than most places, It's a gamble to save a bit of money, You're going to have a credit search done as well and that will be recorded on your credit file.

The bnpl might actually help some people, providing you pay it off before it expires there's no interest. Spread the payments etc... Other retailers you would have to pay the full amount.

I pre-ordered the Scorpio edition from very with 20% off a few weeks back. It's confirmed, hasn't been cancelled yet.

Think you can though chat or over the phone. I've took screen shots of everything including the code terms and if they do change the codes worth I will take them to the financial ombudsman on pure principal.

I paid it off in full the following day. Payment was confirmed on very account as they have deducted it all from the £750 credit i was granted. I only bought the console on the basis of 20% off. If its changed to 10% ill be pulling out. I already own a ps4 pro but price was too good to turn down. Hopefully we get the 20% off. Its down to them if they have cocked it up not us. Like you say its still rrp for the main price of the console

I got the deal but only after a fashion. Signed-up for new account, put console + a game in Basket, clicked to take 12 months Buy Now Pay Later (not that I need it) but when I put the correct code into the Promo box on the right-hand side it said it wasn't valid, despite me re-reading the banner that appeared on their the site before signing-up saying otherwise. Still, I clicked the Next button thinking there was a final page to the ordering procedure however the Complete page came up and that was my order placed. So, given that by that stage I had probably gone through a credit check, I wanted that deal! Called customer services in Africa (several times, glitchy line), who made me speak to some kind-of credit authorisation department in the UK (my credit rating is excellent, so no idea why), before I got passed back and someone in Africa applied the discount manually, but not before trying to suggest it should be 10%. Not the easiest of deals and slightly inexplicable that the code said not valid, but I got there in the end. I wonder if their system saw that I'd done Quidco first (for an extra £8), but probably not because their banner ad is clear: 20% off for new customers. Thanks to HUKD anyway. UPDATE: I just saw in a previous comment that you have to put the code in first, before clicking to take the 12 months BNPL offer. Also, if you don't get the deal, call them and politely argue it and say others have had the 20% off consoles. It clearly states 10% discount on electricals and 20% on everything else, so if you look at their website navigation across the top, there are *seperate* buttons/ links for Electricals and Gaming/ DVD sections. Electricals are TVs, washing machines, computers, phones etc, and consoles aren't there when you click to 'see all electricals', hence they qualify for the 20% offer in my view.

Argued that Xbox One X is NOT listed under electricals, but under Gaming and DVD. They argued that it IS an electrical item though.
I explained that a flymo is an electrical item but that isn't in the electricals section either. Didn't matter - discount NOT working for me.

personally i'd be wary of VERY, especially with their 'discount vouchers'
i recently used a £50 off a £100 spend on a couple of videogames.... the code was accepted and the final bill was £54 with postage.
checked my bank today and they've taken out the full ammount of £108, so i'm currently going through the hassle of customer services and have been cut off 3 times already :angry:

I just paid straight off as it was only meant to be £54.... just didn't expect them to take the full amount after the sale had already been authorised, they seem to be a bit crafty like that.

Very could remove the 20% promotion from your account if they find out that you have used a code that is not meant for existing Very account holders. Very's Terms and Conditions states the following:
