I bought this same deal but in-store not on direct. I just took the game and receipt back in, they checked the game hadn't been opened then issued the full refund.

I tried to return destiny 2 game to Tesco, they said to return it I will need to pay them £50 due to the discounts being removed. That’s a shame. Game said I can sell it to them for £27 cash.

I didn't pull the trigger (now out of stock online). I'm happy to wait and see if this comes back/similar deals launch.

Technically - get this deal for £220, return Destiny 2 to Tesco for £46 = £174 - could you in addition return that extra Xbox controller part of that deal too, and since retail on it is £50 at Tesco, in total get this entire deal for £124?!

Can buy a cheaper controller off a third-party site for £38-39 and have this deal at basically £160ish..

Yeah, same here. The new seals are exactly the same as the old one's. Was just a bit thrown off by the fact it was opened and resealed again. Everything inside the box looks brand new to me as well :thumbsup:

Don't worry, mine was the same. Can confirm mine was 100% new inside. I would suspect it's just where the factory adds the download codes and promotional items, then re-seals with the new promotional 'outer cardboard' showing the forza games. After all, the new seals are the exactly the same factory type 'circle' seals (assuming yours is the same as mine obviously).

Yep exactly the same seals broken I'm guessing maybe being opened to put the Forza digital codes in and some lazy git couldn't be arsed to seal them back up

An update for folks having issues with codes, I was getting a generic message of "Check the instructions that came with your code. You might need to redeem it on a different web page." I went onto chat, once the chap checked my code, I tried entering it again and it worked. I think there might be some kind of activation that happened when he checked the validity of it. Anyway, thought I would give you an update on what worked for me!

Tried that....didn't seem to help though. It was "US" I noticed, but changed it to UK and tried again, but still no joy.

I bought this yesterday to collect tomorrow the payment was pending in my account yesterday but now it’s not pending and the money is still there my order is still shown as processing and I’ve been given the live code but someone else I know who ordered to the same store after me already has theirs despatched, could anything have gone wrong with my order?

Tesco can't really help unless you return the Xbox to them spoke to them before you need to contact Microsoft I've been trying but there very busy and waiting like 30 minutes and still not getting through

Well you've got all the Lego games, driving games (joy ride turbo is cheap and great), games like rayman. Take a look at the Xbox 360 backward compatible list too.
I think there's enough for an 8 year old... And after all, you probably don't want to be buying loads of games for an 8 year old anyway.

Great price. Best combination is this and a ps4 pro. The 4k blu ray player makes this a bargain if you sell the games and controller and then use it for ea / Xbox live and then the ps4 for gaming, of which there are much better exclusives, and the vr headset with aim controller is pretty good too.

I got the Argos deal last week, 1TB console with GTA and Ark. Wish I had waited, this is much better value.

I was going to get the xbox one x but can't justify the extra £200 just to play a few games (that will probably be at least £10-£20 more) in 4k, so I've changed my mind and going to get this as I'm mainly getting it for the 4k blu ray player. Although think I want to go for a 1tb version as made the mistake of getting a 500gb ps4 and now can't play any more games without uninstalling one of my other ones first, wouldn't mind but I've only got about eight max lol

You may be right. However, I would assume that it wouldn’t decrease in value with anything other than that fact it has been out for a while anyway, as the One X isn’t designed to be a replacement for the One S at all, it’s just a console for the pro players.

Me too, the controller and Destiny 2 make this a better deal I think , plus will probably get a decent trade in price on Destiny 2, if you don't want it to go towards another game - maybe Fifa 18 - I know CEX are buying for £35, not sure how much Game are offering for trade in.

Physical disc games need the disc inserting to play.
*Optionally*, you can also "install" the game on the hard drive. You still need the disc inserted, but it just uses that to check you actually own it, and all the game loading is done on the much faster hard drive. It also cuts down on the sheer noise of the drive whirring all the time. You can click on x on a game i think to find the install option.

That's how the 360 works, I'm guessing the One is the same.

Also, you can buy games digitally, which you would have to download/install to play.

In answer to your question, your kids will still be scattering discs on your lounge floor. :smile: Solution: any disc you pick up after they've finished gets taken away for 2 weeks. They'll soon change :wink:

Sorry to sound clueless but seeing as there are some comments above about 500gb or 1tb, if you buy a physical game on a disc, everytime you play it do you have to put disc in. Only ask as kids have a 360 and all but about 2 of their games are on disc and I'm sick of having discarded discs and cases around the lounge. I would much prefer if all their games were stored on the hard drive of their new Xbox one they will be getting for Christmas. But does this mean the games need to be downloads rather than physical discs? Thanks.

Nothing wrong with 500gb if that's all you need! My kids only actively play 10 games tops, so only need that many installed on the HDD at any one time. It doesn't take long to uninstall a game you're not actively playing any more, and reinstall at a later date, IF you manage to fill the 500gb

I wouldnt bother with the 500gb version. Filled up too quickly. I've got the 1tb elite console and has ample space for games.
