Looks remarkably the same as the masterplug one that's around £30+ elsewhere.
Great reviews.

Loads in my local cwmbran. Seems a sturdy bit of kit.
Went in for the 15m 4 socket but this seemed better for using with my pressure washer and mower

Definitely not "waterproof" and best used with rcd device as a back up.

Well I've used them for the last two years outdoors without incident... in heavy driving rain too.... so maybe you are talking bull?

Or maybe you've just got away with it? Product is rated for splashes of water from any direction so heavy driving rain was probably at the limit if it's abilities. Can't find the IP rating for this one but the identical looking masterplug one is IP54 rated, which would be standard for this type of equipment. Don't take my word for it take a look here mpl.ch/inf…tml

Picked up one last night for the weekend's camping trip. Thanks!

Just need to be aware that although they appear to be designed for outdoor use I don't think they will accept an RCD adapter or an RCD plug, I personally wouldn't use an extension outdoors without one.

You're right, but I think many will have an updated RCD fusebox these days (except perhaps some older properties that haven't been updated), & if so, you won't need a separate RCD adapter. Wise to check if it has or not &, if necessary, get the update (which is isn't very cheap) or a RCD adapter (which is): amazon.co.uk/Mas…NZM (£8.99 from Amazon, which could potentially be lifesaving).

put the rcd at the other end.

Have amended the title to weatherproof as at least one rather worrying comment about this being submerged in a pond of some sort.
And I'm not being blamed for anything being fishy.

want one of these to put in my pond for my underwater lights. always looked for a waterproof one

I don't think they are that 'waterproof' that you can have them submerged in water (if that's what you meant) for an extended period of time. Splashproof & can be used safely outdoors on a wet/rainy day is more like what they are capable of.
They didn't have these instore or for online order, so had to make do with the 4-socket one I posted.

I fancy one of these for outdoor christmas lights, however I'm not sure of the plug size. When I think of christmas lights I seem to recall that they usually come with large black cube shaped power adapters. Does anyone know if these would be likely to fit in the waterproof socket caps?

No they won't fit - this takes standard sized plugs only' you may be better looking at a weatherproof box instead

If you look closely on the Wilko site photos you can see the Master plug M symbol embossed on the casing of the moulded plastic

Good deal! Ironically I bought 3 of these from Amazon in March 2015 for £13.99 each. Never seen a price like it since. They are really good and two of them are out in all weathers. HOT!
