Loving this trend for data rollovers. Would need to look at the small print, but seems like a great deal. Uses EE network apparently....

just don't love the trend of Virgin moving to 12 month contracts, this is a goodish deal but you can get the same data granted with less minutes for the same money on a 1 month deal. In the time when there are so many good deals and the offers change all of the time is it really worth signing up to 12 month deal.

I get that but they were mostly 12 months not so long ago at least it saves keep changing every two months. Where can you get 8 gig of data with less minutes?

1 month have been around for a long log time, Virgin have moved to 12 month only recently and their customer service were telling customers OFCOM had forced them to which was a total lie.
This is 8GB not 12, uswitch have 8 with Three for £13 on a monthly deal

No tethering like EE though!

Your correct no tethering, however Virgin do not enforce this, been told more than 1 occasion by CS that as long as it's not abused i.e. 5Gb downloads you will be fine.

Until one day you look at your bill and it's £30 more than usual.

Virgin have changed their strategy a lot since going 4g. On my last retention deal the chap told me they are on strict instructions to let the crazy good deal people go.
So no more unlimited everything £5 tariffs and the most they can knock off is £5 BUT its normally £3 off or go away o another network.
It appears in a bid to still look cheap, they now tie you down for 12 months, which I understand.
Been with Virgin now 6 maybe 7 years. 3 contract, 2 PAYG. Not looking to change as I've never had a problem with the service.
Well apart from that 4g switch over that prevented you from calling 074 mobile numbers!

If you are voting or going for this deal based on the data rollover bear in mind the maximum they will rollover each month is 2GB on this tariff, as it's a 2GB tariff that has a promotion of quadruple data at the moment making it 8GB per month. They only roll the base data not the promotional element.

I never new that the sneaky! I can't find it anywhere can you post the link to the small print. Cause its very misleading then as the maximum you could roll would only be 2gig. But as i said thats not how they advertise it and i can't find that anywhere
I've gone for this. Hopefully the 4g will be as good as ee. I swapped for ID mobile a few months back on the £10 monthly roll over and the difference in coverage is astounding as the run off the three network. Been waiting for an ee offer like this but guess this is close enough (hopefully) £20 quidco too. Heat.

Bear in mind tcb tend to pay faster and will not only match but beat quidco under their highest cashback guarantee. 1% higher than quidco for equivalent deals, 5% higher for tcb plus members
Virgin offered me this deal on so-called "retention". However at the same time they offered me a 2 yr phone contract for a Samsung J5 with 2500 mins and 40gb for £25 per month. I didn't really want to get a phone contract

If there was a double data promotion when I purchased my plan, will I rollover the doubled amount or just the ‘regular’ amount? You will only rollover your basic regular data – not any data doubled by a promotion.
