19 Sep 17#24
Its cheap, but there again its not the same as it was. Very oily, soft, and sickly, its even worse than Cadbury's. Its the same with Toblerone, good luck to Poundland, hope they beat them in court. I just buy from Aldi now, or spend a little more on something like Lindt. Leonidas is fav but not going to buy that everyday...

Ive add 6 to the basket for collection. It advises of a £4 charge as its under £40.. But when you proceed it goes down

Surely they're not expecting to sell one single one for 2 quid? Rip off merchants ( but this is a great deal). Heat!
moneybanks14
19 Sep 17#42
that is wrong.. you are supposed to put 3 in your basket which makes it £2 so 6 in your basket would be £4 plus £4 basket charge = £8

I remember seeing the deal on my phone whilst in a meeting. I made my excuses to leave and headed straight to the local Tesco Express and cleared the shelves.
Is this not correct though? Don't you have to add your free ones to the basket so you would be buying 2 x £2 and getting 4 free meaning £4 total with £4 basket charge? Or am i missing a bargain?

19 Sep 17#62
these have gone down to 50p each in asda in the past, time flys but don't think it was that long ago since they did, early this year may be. don't think im waiting just in case, 66.6p will do nicely thanks.
Ecstatic
customers celebrated their bargains by posting photos online of their
huge hauls of the chocolates. Others used the treats to spell out
'Tesco' and 'yay'. Shoppers were able to combine a three-for-£5 deal on
the chocolate with another buy-one-get-one-free offer. However, the
glitch applied a further discount when the chocolates were bought in
multiples of six.
watson44
19 Sep 17#69
for 3 oranges its £2 + £4 (C&C)= £6 for 6 oranges its £4 + £4(C&C)= £8
25p a chocolate orange. I never ate any of them but filled a few spaces below the Christmas tree. Too early to mention Christmas trees?
duke
19 Sep 17#72
There were all sorts of similar glitches around then.It happened when Tesco outsourced the it to India.Usually when buy one get two free was on and double discount kicked in,meaning Tesco paid you to take them away..Tomato passata was one and Tesco aa batteries were another.I still have a haul of these, although some are getting a bit furry after 6 years!

I think there should be a maximum number you can purchase e.g (6 per customer). There's always the odd fatty bum bum who feel the need to swipe the whole shelf clean leaving everyone else with nothing. I think there going going to be a supermarket sweep at Tesco in the morning, instead of looking for the Inflatable fruit for bonus points it's chocolate oranges. Only the older generation will know what I'm going on about with supermarket sweep and the inflatables, loved this programme!

Let's not forget that Mondelez International reduced the size of these from 175g down to 157g and also reduced the quality of the chocolate used in the recipe.
Given that the previous (larger and better) oranges sold for £1 most of the time, 67p for these inferior ones is really not a deal at all. But people will still buy them by the bucketful because consumers are easily manipulated by marketing gimmicks.
When we give money to companies who ruin our chocolate, we have nobody to blame but ourselves.
Make no mistake: this is not a "deal" nor a "steal". Tesco and Mondelez are laughing all the way to the bank.

Its creme egg all over again, but for some reason people still like these. They have lost loads of money by killing the creme egg, teach them another lesson and don't buy them. Eventually they will have to sell them for a few pence

They are probably not 'off', they just don't taste that nice, soft and oily..

20 Sep 17#103
Not sure why Mondelez think they can change it and people won't notice, all they are doing is slowly driving people to buy other chocolate, be interesting to know how their market share looks. Promotional stands completely full in North East Lincs Tesco Extra stores, I honestly believe the public are now boycotting these, Cadburys, Lucozade, Walkers etc. People are sick of been scammed with shrinking items, poor quality cheap ingredients, packaging and boxes when you open are only half filled and the taste getting worse, great British products now moved abroad etc. Boycott folks!

I think its got to the stage that however cheap they try and sell it, people over the past 2 or 3 years are finding it tastes grim, hopefully enough people will taste this years offering and be put off.
Go and buy other chocolate, it may not be round but it will taste much nicer.
