That's very weird. In Library there should be a section there that looks like this to say the code and everything. Hope this helps you out otherwise I say try get hold of Humble Bundle and let them know about the problem you're facing

I was having the problem that it kept giving an error when I clicked the banner for the game. However, I then went to the store home and selected to browse all games, searched for outlast, picked the bundle of game & dlc with 100% off and then clicked to add to basket and checkout and worked first time no problem! Seems there is some issue with the main banner for the game, so worth trying this method if you are having trouble too....

Yes, all these free humble keys have a limited redemption life, though it is possible to get around it (if for some reason you don't want to use it straight away) by simply revealing the key before the deadline (and make a note of it somewhere). Technically it only has to be revealed by the date shown, it doesn't actually have to be redeemed in steam by then....
