How do these compare with the ones in Poundland which are 7.5m long? OK, they're not Stanley, but is a name important in a tape measure ? :face_with_monocle:

El-cheapo means they'll not roll back in fully if used at max length more than a handful of times. Named brands means they'll last a while.
If only using it every now and then it won't matter. I expect the poundland ones would be fine for DIY use. If it does stuff up can always get another

I have had both the 5m and 8m for around 3 years now, used most days and good as new. At this price even thinking about £1shop junk is wrong, I would imagine looking at pics that the £1 shop stuff is easily shattered and cracked if dropped

Posted 2 days ago, received mine today. The price keeps jumping up and down so keep a eye on it if it's gone back up
