Cheapest it's been since the price hike to £49.99 on 31/08/17 I don't know why it's deemed a pre-order instead of a backorder.

I'm surprised not many others 'rinse and repeat' the 14-day trial. I've been doing it for the past 3 years. Only takes 10 minutes to create a new email and PSN account.

That simple? Getting a PS4 so good to know.

Its all good and well exploiting the free trials but if you plan to buy digital games (which this forum will frequently encourage you to - trust me and my poor wallet  ) and wish to build up a library with the free monthly games then its less appealing, and has other perks as others mentioned such as easily keeping a friends list, trophy tracking, cloud save backups and so on. But if all the above is of no interest, free is free and might be worth a little time each month creating emails and new PS profiles..

I will stick to paying then. I'm not really into digital unless it's a really good offer. Saying that, I have quite a few digital games on my Xbox. Thanks for your help. :nerd:

this is a ridiculous thing to do, none of the free games will work after the 14 days and you won't be able to have friends, as your username will keep changing so no one will want to lol. just pay the £3.50 a month.
geefiasco to danfr
18 Sep 17#63
You can keep your current profile and trophies -the "free" account runs along side it. Once the 14 days are up, rinse and repeat.

10 mins x 26 trial periods in a year = 260 min = 4.33h.
Given the fact that this was usually available for ~33 quid (and frequently cheaper), you effectively saved 7.62 for every hour of your time, you business shark ;). And then you can't play the ps+ games from earlier months because you can only play the current one with current trial. And you probably can't collect trophies as they stay with account I think. And you lose all friends in the list. Well, I'm so NOT surprised many don't do the 'rinse and repeat trial.

actually if you just have your console as primary on the new account then you main account can go online aswell, still not worth it imo due to time/effort spent and the fact that you dont get to keep the games....

18 Sep 17#51
I'm not interested in PS+ games and/or offers and I'm not interested in silly "trophies" either. I only require the ability to play friends online and I refuse to pay for a service that was initially free.

AFAIK the 14 days trial requires new mail and new PSN account (not a problem, indeed) but also requires you to attach a payment option, be it either a Paypal account or a credit card: these obviously cannot be fake, so you would end up using your real Paypal account, o one of your credit cards... de facto exposing the trick and risking a ban on your primary, legit account.
But still, there's always the "48 hours trial": requires a new mail and a new PSN account too, but no payment verification step at all.

I always use the same debit card. I remove the card once the trial is activated and cancel the recurring subscription.

Currently £38.99 at Electronic First if this deal is now sold out.
Asda still has 39.99 cards last time I was in maybe worth keeping an eye out when your in still saving 10 on the new ones

I pre-ordered this last October in 2016. This exact same one that is in this deal (note the term '365 day' sub instead of the usual '12 months') There was no estimated release date at all at the time. I finally received it only a few days ago on Friday which was 11 months after the initial order. When it finally arrived it did indeed state 12 months on the card. It had taken so long that I had nearly forgotten about it as I hadn't received any updates on the progress of the order in all that time. In the meantime, I'd already purchased a sub elsewhere and then ordered another one of the the cheap 15 month subs at £30 on the Prime Day deal on here.
There was no warning prior to the actual dispatch. I just received a dispatch notification out of the blue to say it was on its way. It was a little annoying as it could have (it didn't, obviously, but that's not the point) put me in the red with my bank/credit card. The only upside to it was that they had knocked a fiver off it saying that it had a price decrease at some stage during the pre-order time. So got it for £30 instead of £35.
So, just letting people know to be aware that in case they're in any kind of hurry for this that you're not guaranteed to get it any time soon.

CDKeys are selling a 12 month sub for £39.79 if you require this sooner and don't mind paying £4.79 more. I believe you also receive a 5% discount if you add your email address to their Facebook mailshot, which reduces their price to £37.76.
I'm guessing they aren't taking payment yet? If so, I might as well give it a go. Nothing to lose.

Gamesharing in the same household only require 1 ps plus account. Set the sharing console as primary and other accounts signed in can still go online without their own subscription.

Can confirm this works as I have plus on my account, and made my user the primary account on the Mrs' console and she plays online for free now, while I can still do everything as normal on my console which I'm technically a guest on. She can also play all my digital games as a bonus.
I'm tempted to try and go for this but if its denied and refunded as credit then that's a bit naff for me :/...

The company that were providing the Subscription cards are no longer a supplier of the Amazon platform, therefore Amazon are now taking stock from another supplier and will honour the pricing as a lot of members have this item pending. The fulfillment center has taken ownership of this item and currently preparing dispatch. The item will be in available in stock soon with Amazon and the dispatch of pending orders will be complete.
If the amount of pre-orders out weighs the amount of stock received they have stated they will provide me credit to purchase from another re-seller.
Either way I may as well keep the order there as its Win Win for me.

I emailed Amazon and they have just called me and confirming that i will receive this order when it becomes available and it is a card on a online code. I have this in writing as well so If i hear nothing in the couple of weeks I'll forward that onto the support team and hopefully get a new code sent to me. They did say they can't confirm on a date.
