These never included a Dualshock motor, not on Ps3 or ps4, and they're both the same, same Ps3 usb connector for charging.

Still remember a few years ago when these were ten quid each and shops couldn't even shift them

That might have been the PS3 dual shock 3 ones I doubt it were these ones

I could be wrong, because I've never looked into it closely, but my impression was that the Move hardware hasn't changed at all, and the PS3 move controllers are what is used with the PS4 VR (albeit with a new camera). That Sony are branding the more recently manufactured ones as 'Dual-Shock 4' is probably just that... branding (and to create the association with the PS4). At least that's what I thought.

Nope he is right. For years the move controllers where dirt cheap in the likes of GAME and CEX. I bought a few when the PSVR was announced from CEX for £8 each. Once PSVR did release and I didn't plan on getting one at the time. I sold them for around £30 each.

You're right. I picked up my second for £10 when the move flopped. They're the same ones that were used with PS3 Move.

Yeah, after PlayStation Move flopped all the controllers and camera could be had for a pittance, people couldn't give them away. I guess when PSVR suffers the same fate it will happen again.

What makes you think it will? I purchased a PS VR and so far it surpassed my expectations by far. Oh and these are now showing at £69.99 @ Tesco :disappointed:

It hasn't sold anywhere near expectations, the resolution has been somewhat disappointing, the quality when using a standard PS4 is not great and the biggest problem is that AAA dedicated VR games are still not out there. It seems to be following the same path as motion controllers and 3D gaming. Lots of hype and it tails off.
Even MS are holding back doing a VR headset for the XB1X because they don't know if it's going still be a thing in 2 years time.
