The decathlon one was brilliant for my partner when we were in the Maldives. Easy breathing and more comfortable. I like to free dive so this was a no no.

where did you find terrible reviews about the Decathlon mask,,,,they have over 5000 reviews with 4 out of five good reviews. The masks available on Ebay are all cheaper copies, I wouldn't risk my health for £8. I have bought various items from Decathlon over the years and they are only too pleased to sort any problems out.

I have one and they are great for surface snorkelling but not very good for submerged dips deeper than a couple of feet because of pressure on the face. The decathlon ones do point this out in fairness though. If you don't like the taste of saltwater, these make a perfect alternative to a traditional snorkel.

We found the Tribord mask from Decathlon excellent - considered getting a couple of these for the kids as a good price, to be honest on closer inspection they don't look such good quality as the original brand though.......will wait for a decent Tribord deal I think. Thanks for posting though.

I bought this one off Amazon back in June and was very disappointed with it. Bought out of curiosity really though glad I took my old mask too when we went away last.
I'm someone who loves Snorkeling and like to dive down to get close to the corals/fish. I found that every time I swam down, on surfacing and wanting to inhale (like with a regular snorkel) this thing would suddenly block just when I needed air! I was having to pull it off to breath which was not nice....
IN SHORT - This is fine if you just float along on the surface, though really poor if you have big lungs and like to swim hard and dive down while snorkeling.

I know what you mean but in fairness this is by design, when its chopy the float valve blocks. And its better than the alternative of breathing sea water. Some of the other designs have taller snorkels sections and winder I believe.

I wanted to get a Decathlon mask, what size would you get for a lady? S/m? Or is this kids size, I wanted to get my partner too so would I go for m/L for a man? Be grateful for your comments thank

There is a guide to measuring your face on the decathlon site on the full face snorkel mask page.
Bought two of these to go to Greece this year and they were absolutely brilliant. decathlon.co.uk/eas…wcB
One for kids and one for me. Kids loved them - no leaks, no fogging and so easy to use.
Difficult to dive down with them though as they are fairly buoyant.

Same experience here. No fogging at all, 0 leaks and so easy to start using, it just feels more natural because you can still breathe through your nose and mouth when you're swimming.

You can dive down. Just takes a bit more effort.
