My OnePlus 3 mobile informs me that Facebook Messenger, is draining my battery. So heck, uninstalled it and added this. ✅ I have to say, I'm liking!

the dev is really pissy. Look at the reviews and replies Suggest or criticise something and he'll come out with a snotty reply.

The comments that the nobbish Dev makes are enough to put me off using this app! Seriously, their customer service is nonexistent. I've given this heat for being free, but I'd also like to hear what alternatives other people are using.

Just installed slim social this afternoon and it's brilliant compared to the Facebook mobile site. I've also been able to get rid of Facebook messenger at long last! Cheers for the tip.

I have been sober ... err... i mean off facebook for 7 years and counting bar a few occassional logins to contact our dogsitter and for that having the full app is an overkill.This install just sorted that issue. Thanks for this.Heat added. :smile:

If you want a light Facebook alternative the best one is the official Facebook Lite:
used this last time it was free, thought the app was pretty good until the next day where coincidentally i had apparently posted about cheap Ray-Bans to all my friends! i had been hacked so changed my password and deleted this app straight away as i doubt this app is anywhere near as secure as the official app

No problems for me.. love it. However as I don't have Facebook massacre installed I can send/receive messages but video calling does not work. So I used WhatsUp for that..

Facebook provides this version to countries with worser data and older smartphones. It is much lighter and everything is fine.
No problems for me.. love it.
