Avoid sharp TV's. Bought one at Christmas. Slow/no response to remote a lot of the time. turns itself off at times when changing between dvd, TV recorder etc. Could go on.

Glad to hear that . The one I got was a 43". Great picture but some of the problems that came with it are terrible. Did some research and it seems to be common.

Sharp aquos(that's the software it runs on) smart tv but really limited apps. Has iPlayer and a load of other ones I've never heard of but not even netflix. Hope it give up before it's a year old.

720p? Too expensive, if so.

I also cannot get you a smart 4K for under £150 either... sorry. could probably find an old black and white for just under a £100 but im sure you wouldn't pay that for it. and I think that's what this person is saying too.

The smart aspect of it is usually redundant if you're buying it for your kids, as a games console provides all the same features anyway.
Just grab a regular 1080p 32" Technika. Tesco were selling them. I got one.
If they no longer stock them, shop around. You can get better than a 720p screen for £150.

Why are you even commenting? You're a troll
You can't speak for most people since you don't know what most people want.
My kids already have 32" sharp TVs which we got from Argos but they now love Netflix. So I am buying purely for adding smart functions.
My kids don't have consoles in their bedrooms.
I know you can get fire TV etc but we want a simple set up as they are only 3&6.

Showing your age now.
Like I said before find me a branded, new, 1080p, smart TV for under £150.
You can't
That's our budget, this is the cheapest by a long way.
My young kids couldn't care less about full hd.
Me however I have 4k in my bedroom and living room, the kids it doesn't matter.

I paid £175 with staff discount for this model. So, this is a good price. It's a cracking telly for the price. Just remember not everyone can afford hundreds for a tv. It'd be nice though. Lol.

It will break in 6 months whereas a Samsung or decent brand will last 5 years

Is this just brand snobbery or do you have any facts to back this up?
Also funny that you mentioned Samsung, out of the past 6 TVs I've had over the past 6-7 years, I've had LG, Samsung, Panasonic and Sony, the two Samsung ones are the only ones to develop faults, the WiFi stopped working on both of them and one of them started getting green lines down it after only 4 months, they then repaired it and sent me the same TV but referb in much worse condition than mine.

Cracking TV. The software is so good it's better than my 2016 Samsung which we have on the conservatory so I've now bought another.

The software is not fancy and not a touch on my 2017 LG webOS. But it's simple and so for kids it's perfect.

I bought a Sharp TV cheap from Tesco. I absolutely regret it. It won't work properly with Chromecast on Netflix or Play Movies. Appalling lag. I'd never buy one again.

Can anyone recommend a 32" smart TV, budget up to about £250, as thin as possible for wall mount. Needs Netflix etc.
