The Schwalbe Magic Mary BikePark MTB Tyre is a performance-oriented mountain bike tyre that is favoured by professional downhill and enduro riders. The Super Gravity version is much lighter than traditional downhill, yet sacrifices nothing in stability, nor in the battle against punctures.
Super GravitySuper Gravity has a new carcass construction at its core. The principle is a familiar one in motorbike tyres. For Super Gravity, the sidewalls are made up of four layers of carcass material, but there are only two layers underneath the cap, rather than the classic downhill tyre approach of six layers. The whole tyre is then encased in Schwalbe's SnakeSkin fabric. Weight is negligible – and it helps a lot. In fact, it stabilises and protects while remaining extremely flexible. At the same time, it is ideal for Tubeless Ready application.

Depends what terrain you go over. I live near to what is considered to be England's premier mountain bike trail (Lee/Crag Quarry), and the number of Schwalbe tyres that have been ripped to shreads going over that terrain is astronomical! Down to personal preference and how hard you push them! It's not rubbish, why don't you read the 2016 and 2017 tyre reviews and then tell me Maxxis doesn't wipe the floor with Schwalbe!

Most people probably never have had any bad experience with these tyres, me included. More to the point this is a great price and worth every penny.

A very heavy tyre though and I don't think they are Tubeless Ready. I swear by TR tyres now.

Ideal for tubless ready application and if your a weight junkie, then go for the super gravity tyre. Also maybe dont eat a big breakfast before your ride and maybe take a :poop: that should save you some weight :wink: No matter what deal is posted on here theres always going to be someone with an opinion on whats better no matter what.

Likely cheap due to being 26" I can never find cheap 27.5". Currently running tubeless Specialized Purgatory rear and Specialized Butcher front I'm highly impressed with those but they are expensive.

Is this more a front tyre, I'm just doing up a cotic soul and the wheels I've put on have a dhf on the front and I need a better rear tyre, currently got a cheap schwalbe tough tom on

Its not tubeless ready, you need the Evo line for that. This is the level down, the Performance line. Evo line rrp 60 pounds. Performance line rrp 35 pounds ish.

Good price for a tyre that you wouldn't really want to smash down a black run. Alright for tame trails and canals tow paths. It's well worth keeping an eye out for the Evo's when they go on offer. Well worth the extra cash. I run a front end magic mary and a rock razor on the back. It's a great mix for control and acceleration. As for the maxxis debate, i have a high roller2/minion2 mix on my other bike and they're just as good.

If you haven't tried Lee & Cragg Quarry then do so. Try cycling it in Winter when you've got 70 mph winds and driving rain. There is no shelter up there, just mud and giant boulders. It's hard on the bike and the riders body, I know 2 separate people who have broken their pelvis riding this course. I know we didn't do so well in the mountain biking events at the 2012 London Olympics, but Lee & Cragg Quarry was used by the Great Britain mountain bike squad as their training facility, and no other UK course!
