I took the plunge with the HUAWEI Honor 6X 4G Phablet as this seemed like a good deal. I chose British Priority Mail as it seems like a safe and fast option. Unfortunately the last I heard from GearBest is that it was stuck at customs in China, but would eventfully be progressing. It's certainly dragging on though. I ordered on 16th Sept.

Hi Dorasat69,
Could you please kindly send you your order number for re-checking ? Hopefully, i am able to help you at this issue
That's a very nice price for the 6X, I think the cheapest UK based price I've seen recently was a promo special of £200.

Anyone ordered from them before?? I guess you'd be charged customs tax?

As far as I remember, you do not need to pay import tax on electronics declared under £135. However, you might have to pay VAT though, even if you purchase is declared as a gift, but over £50. Chinese usually declare goods as a $50 gift, unless you choose DHL shipping, EMS etc. I haven't bought from Chinese for a long time, so things might have changed...

Hi
I have ordered a few things from them, first couple of items redmi note 4a, smart watch no tax or delivery problems.
However I ordered 2 redmi note 4a's as gifts on the 4/07/2017 still not arrived. When I contact them they keep asking me to wait 30 days then 60 days and then two weeks to locate my package. I was not contacted within two weeks and when I contacted them again they just said go to your local post office. Now they are saying they have not received information from the shipping company. I have just put in a dispute through PayPal. So when things arrive all is good and well but when things don't arrive I'm not sure what will happen. But use a C.C or PayPal for buyer protectio

I've got this phone as a bit of make do. I can't believe how good it is. I won't bother upgrading when due. It's truly brilliant.

have you had this 'low volume on alarms and phone calls' issue someone was saying they had in their 6x

Nope I think the speaker and volume is better than my Samsung S3 and my Sony Xperia z3. And it's a better phone too. Hope this helps

Kinda looks a bit to me like a luck of the draw kind of thing going on ...

It sounds like a good deal, but there is always the chance you get charged customs duties (it happened to me) and then it works out as far more expensive than from buying within the UK.
Also looked at Eglobal where it is just under £144 and they keep flashing up a voucher for £5.99 but it does state that it comes preloaded with Chinese apps, which you can disable but not remove. For me, this certainly stops me from buying it.
However, the 6X is a fabulous phone so if Chinese apps don't bother you then its a good deal

I'm pretty sure that 1+ can't refuse you manufacturers warranty. They might not take your proof of purchase as gear best valid. However if it's within the first year release of the model I don't see how they could argue it?

Aren't they in China? If so, not sure how anyone could even make them pay attention tbh?
I've got a 6x and its an amazing phone! Great battery life and good camera, all it needs is Nexus Launcher to get rid of the annoying iphone copy of a UI which it comes with!

Good phone with good camera but underpowered compared to the redmi note 4 which has a much more powerful processor. Also much bigger battery on the redmi note 4.
Agreed. Paid £200 for mine and in my opinion / experience that was a bargain.
Not for everyone but if you're rational enough, emotionally stable, don't have 4 legs and a woolly coat and can hold a conversation without getting your phone out, this could well be the device you're looking for.
Having said that...Gearbest.

Bought the Honor 6X a while ago, but was very unimpressed with handset, feels light and cheap and the volume is incredibly quite even on max. I missed alarms, calls and message many times. So gave it back and got a Xiaomi note 4. Miles better

The Honor 6x is a great phone however only some versions(including the one selling in the uk) have features like NFC. US and Indian version do not have this, so be aware(not sure which version is offered on Gearbest)

The OnePlus 5 won't have a warranty - they specifically say that on their website. It'd therefor be up to gearbest to help with any warranty issues.
So while 350 ish is a very good price, it's not worth the risk for me personally.
Im not voting either way because for people who are happy to risk it, it's a great deal. But someone who is spending their savings on it, I'd keep on saving.

"Thank you for contacting Gearbest.
We are sorry to hear you have to cancel your order.
When you placed order, the item was indeed in stock. However, due to a high demand for this item, that many customers ordered the item the same time caused the shortage of the stock availability. Therefore, we need more time to ship the items out.
If you want the order, we will offer 100 points after the shipment."
Be prepared for this.
May as well wait for eglobal sale if you really want to save a bit.
