Yes, me too. Seems a blanket cancel as I had two orders over separate accounts and both cancelled, exactly the same time too. I am particularly annoyed as they had promised second week of Oct. I have little hope they will match a similar product, especially since RX580s pretty much universally OOS so they would have to match an Nvidia card, but I'll definitely be complaining since they did specifically promise it would be back in stock...

It can do. Depending on who you get, it is quite common to get a promotional credit you can use against another purchase. Doubt they would offer more than about £5 realistically but might as well get something out of it since I clearly won't be getting a new graphics card!
Might have been less inclined to complain had they not promised on chat I would get it in the second week of Oct. If they don't know or expect it to come in they shouldn't make promises that it will.
TBH I think big companies like Amazon that can obviously afford it should, as standard, offer some kind of goodwill/saying sorry gesture as standard when they let down customers like this, ultimately promotional credit is money back in their pockets anyway since it can only be used on Amazon for Amazon supplied goods....

Possibly; I've just tried on both my iPhone and my Fire Tablet and both don't have the option. I did ask on Live Chat and they said that they would get back to me in 24-48 hours; although I don't need this GPU anyway.

There are a couple of different versions of the Amazon app. I downloaded mine from the Google Play store, but there's another version (includes Amazon's app store) which can be downloaded from Amazon's site (this one might be called Amazon Underground).

I asked on chat about availability and was told it would be second week of Oct, great if true :grin: Though I then asked if they mine would be dispatched then or whether they had a backlog to fill (they probably do at that price) and the advisor didn't seem to know what I was talking about and just repeated that they would have them second week of Oct.
So would be nice if they did come then, but won't be holding my breath....

Just checked mine - for this 580 Pulse, mine says it'll arrive by October 21st. I'll be super surprised if they do sell them for £102.50 but hey, you've got to be in it, to win it.
For the other (Nitro+) it says it'll arrive by Nov 29th... not so good (i'll probably cancel that if the other arrives)

I've had this on order since late August (when it was about £220),
I spoke to amazon chat about the £102.5 price, as i assumed my pre-order would be cancelled due to a pricing issue and they said "you have preordered the product so you have to pay this much only, please don't worry".
They have also said that they are expecting some stock mid-October, but don't have an exact date yet.

I came here to post exactly what you had said! It's obviously going to be cancelled. So much for all the people who were larging it with that 'got to be in it to win it' stuff, I genuinely didn't expect it to be delivered any time soon and certainly not late August as they had said but it doesn't change the fact I still needed/wanted one of these. What with Vega being a bit of a letdown for gaming (and mining) it's no surprise people wanted the power-efficient and moderately quick RX cards.

As far as I know...
Amazon only requests £1 from your bank account for a security check, it doesn't actually take that £1 though, and it only charges you the full amount of the item when it is about to dispatch it so either you'll get an email telling you it's been cancelled and that's the end of it, or you'll see the cards price being charged to your bank and you are in for a treat because they've honoured the deal.
From my experience they've never taken the money unless I'm getting the item.

lol my pre-order price has now dropped to the £102.50. Bit of a joke really - why get loads of pre-orders then f**k about with the price?! It'll only push people away from Amazon IMO - I certainly wont be 'pre-ordering' anything from them after this if I don't get a card eventually - even if its for the original £220
I see they're now no longer taking pre-orders at all.
On the plus side, some of the other RX cards are now near or at their MSRP - RX 570 Aorus 4gb - £176.52 or the plain gaming one for £3 less. But AGAIN pre-order promise BS

Yep very true have seen this myself didn't know exactly why but assumed it as a check to see a legit bank, two ways to look at it amazon need a loan so they borrow a quid from everyone lol or security or a bit of both, its a quid I don't care as long as 1 it comes off the cost of the item or 2 it is returned in not paying out an extra £1 every time they decide a security check, is a little dodgy though.

They may not take the money until its dispatched but they do charge you £1 for a security check on the card and then BEFORE dispatch they pre-authorise the amount, so your bank balance is down by the amount of the card, and it can take days to get it back and you have to chase the bank for it, i know cos its happened to me countless times, so they may not charge you but as soon as you order they ringfence the cash - annoying!

Checked my order confirmation and it definitely says 102.50 as deal. Still a bargain either way. Perhaps, they are applying a delivery charge for non-prime members (I have prime) or you accidently picked the express delivery (though even that is free on prime)....

Nowt to worry about as Amazon are supplying. Mixing the GB and MB up is a very common mistake, obviously is GB as there hasn't been a 8MB card in production for years and certainly no RX580 8MBs :face_with_monocle:
I ordered, though I suspect at this price it might be one of those pre-orders that never materialises, but absolutely nowt to lose anyway since they don't take payment upfront.
If they cancel I am sure with some haggling they would issue a small discount off another item so some incentive to ordering even if chances of the actual item are a bit remote.
