I ordered this deal last week as it was the best deal i could find if you don't need high data allowance. Over the 2 years it works out basically the same price as buying just the phone at rrp so great deal.
Also just had a message from Mobiles.co.uk and DPD informing me that it's being delivered tomorrow a day early so happy days! :sunglasses:

Wont be able to claim the free samsung dex dock if your referencing the offer direct from samsung. For that to work, you need to order direct from o2 website/instore. Cant be through a reseller

You can get a 2gb ram phone off ebay for 20 gbp this is 45x more expensive. Before you all wet yourself I have 13 20 gbp phones and they are adequate this is stupid money for tech speeds you just don't need. Even get a xiaomi note 4 for 100 from gearbest and that has 4gb ram needless to say freezing from me

Has anyone dealt with mobiles.co.uk before? I have heard quite a lot of rumours about cashback scandals and the phones not being genuine European/UK phones before! Secondly for people who are interested in the dock like myself, you need to clain the deal from the Samsung site but need to put mobiles.co.uk as Carphone warehouse
adamspencer95
14 Sep 17 #52
i think you're crossing mobiles.co.uk with other sites, perhaps eglobal?

mobiles.co.uk is cpw, and hence will use the same stock as cpw. i have never heard of one being a grey import from cpw/mobiles.co.uk.

cashback is always a bit hit and miss - people dont adhere to the terms and conditions then complain when cashback is rejected. my experience is that if you follow the rules they always pay out.

£961.76 total costover 2 years

adamspencer95
14 Sep 17 #63
'superior' is entirely subjective and dependent on your area (in regards to signal strength)
CoeK
14 Sep 17 #64
Superior can be objective if you are talking about network coverage as a whole rather than as an individual in an single place.
adamspencer95
14 Sep 17 #65
and your evidence for EE being better than o2 is...?
CoeK
14 Sep 17 #66
I never said it was superior, just telling you how it could be made objective. But since you asked I spent the last 30 seconds researching(googling) and found this article ibtimes.co.uk/bes…326

I still really hold no opinion either way but this article says that EE has the better network.
adamspencer95
14 Sep 17 #67
then fair enough

still doesnt necessarily mean EE will have the best coverage/speeds in everyone's area, hence its still dependent on location to some extent

14 Sep 17 #68
Yes, it is always best to check online for the areas you will mostly be using your phone in.

Good deal, heat added. Had the Note 2,3,4. Loved the Note 4 and its removable battery but wanted a faster, better camera. Would have gone for this but its just too much for me unfortunately, so i went with the 8+ with GiffGaff. So far i like it, but i do miss the pen, used that quite a bit. At £250 cheaper and little difference in size and internals i think i made the right choice. Enjoy your Note 8s

If you can splash out, go for the Whitestone Dome Glass as it's the only glass protector that works on curved screen phones.
As for case, try the Caseology range on Amazon as they're currently on a massive sale and some of them can be had for £1.49 - £2.49. Buy one at a time (won't work with two) and you'll see the price drop on the payment page not basket.
GQ.Man

Heads up mate VRS are doing many cases for 70% off aswell just got a few eg: £12.99 for £3.90 amazon.co.uk/gp/…c=1 and this one amazon.co.uk/gp/…c=1 so ended up grabbing 8 cases in total between Caseology and VRS total should of been £74.92 bagged them all for £21.27 and checked the actual prices elsewhere you-tube vids and those actual prices are legit any other day of the week so definite bargains id say.
Prosamuraiman
16 Sep 17 #109
Was about to tell you too. I received the VRS design ultra thin and the quality is a bit naff, don't think it it would save our phones in a drop.

Dummy retarded question here and im certainly not an Android or Samsung newb so slightly confused by this but How do you remove an app or widget from the homescreens because from memory or indeed after Googleing it you hold down the app or widget and up come an option etc but the screen stays blank on mine. EDIT: even more strange ive just seen a youtube video on the S8 Plus showing you hold down the widget and the trash can icon appears at the top in the middle which is what i remember but on mine just a blank screen looks like a bug or something.

exactly ive been doing all the obvious its just not happening i hold it for 5 seconds 2 seconds 10 seconds all that happens is the screen flashes for a split second and no options or anything appear. I wouldn't get a glass screen protector, just get a normal one. As the glass only has the glue on the sides and not in the center. Putting a case on top of the glass in my experience, the middle of the glass protector raises up and you have to hard press the screen to get any input
Prosamuraiman
17 Sep 17 #126
The Dome glass has liquid glue across the entire surface hence the scary high price. It works tho.

Whitestone Dome Glass is the best screen protector and the Caseology line of cases on Amazon are on sale for between £1.50-
