Cheapest* I've seen this anywhere by some margin and backed up by the 3 wise camels!
*Same price at Argos too so likely a price match but I'd rather deal with Amazon any day of the week (plus no stock anywhere near me!)
If you have any of the more power hungry Ryobi tools or want extended use without swapping/charging its well worth the investment
A Battery That Does It AllForget having to make do with bundled batteries that are low-quality and have poor run time, Ryobi tools and batteries can be purchased separately allowing you to tailor make the package you want. The 18 V batteries use Lithium technology to provide you with even more run time and fade free power. Lithium+ technology in 1.5 Ah and above includes an on-board fuel gauge, cell overload protection and IntelliCell which provides your tool with upto 10 per cent improved performance. This Ryobi high performance battery will power over 35 different tools from the ONE+ range.

i just clicked on the 'Visit site and get deal' link at the top of this page and it now says:
Price:£64.64 & FREE Delivery in the UK.
...so in this case, perhaps the deal is not quite so hot as originally stated ?

Probably been ready for years, but they have not finished flogging the crappy ones yet, ps 4.0 is not crappy I mean the 1.2ah etc

I upgraded to three of these 4.0ah batteries last year (£44.99 at the time) from my aging, 9-year old NiCd batteries and could not believe the difference. I just wish I'd done it years ago.
I have a huge array of the original One+ in blue and these make using the likes of the circular saw and jigsaw a pleasure to use when cutting 18mm & 24mm MDF and last ages.
Sold 3 old NiCds for £25 each :astonished: to offset the cost of the new ones.

what are the impact drivers like in this range?

As with most things it really depends on the level of use. I have the driver and I find it excellent but this is from a DIY perspective, not trade

I have one, they are more powerful than most (look at the torque ratings) but a little bigger in size, especially the batteries. They certainly do the job though and I have been very impressed with it. Screws practically drive themselves in just at the sight of it. I am considering getting something smaller in the 10.8v range for smaller jobs but haven't found the right deal yet.

This should be exploding hot, only place you'll ever get cheaper is if you go to North America

I have one of these bought at the previous best price in December. Great battery, lasts for ages. These are £80 in B & Q. They need to look at their pricing structure before they join the other large chains from long ago. I see that B & Q do have a price match promise + 10% so potentially less if they have stock which they damn well should have at double the price of Amazon. I tried that once in Currys when Comet were on the go. A Dyson DC07 was 50 quid cheaper at Comet and strangely enough when I enquired at Currys they had no stock. I bought it from Comet but when I got home I rang Currys if they had stock at the branch I had been into and they had. Reserve first, get the item in your hand and then query the price match promise.

I cant imagine the weight of them would make them practical? the 4/5 is already pushing it!

They have been this price before at amazon, great deal, better than taking your chances with one of the knock offs.
