Used this stuff a couple of years ago, seen little difference in quality as opposed to normal turf. Good price tho

I only need half a metre for my window box. Does anyone want to split the cost?

This is by far the best turf we have ever had - had to have a pallet full for free delivery but split with a neighbour - 2 years on it's so dense and green

Go for good quality artificial grass if you have kids or dogs as it's worth every penny.

Eugh! You can't compare artificial grass to natural...
Firstly good quality artificial grass is like 10 times the price of natural.
It might feel nice to begin with, but wait for the winter to begin and after a few winters it'll look totally cr#p. Also the sun can damage it's colour, but natural grass isn't affected. Lastly you can't beat the smell of freshly cut natural grass.

My grass was the expensive type and it still looks and feels great now, the sun doesn't affect the color.
No more mud or ants/worms when we lay on the grass, it's dries out extremely quickly so we can go on it hours before people with regular grass and it heats up quicker too. Great for relaxing on.
And amazing to have the hose out with the kids and not have to worry about puddles or mud, especially with the water slide.
Wish I had purchased it years ago but I had the same incorrect views as yourself.

Yeah and I bet the price per sq metre was really high too.

On the same page it says free delivery over £50 so 20ish rolls would be enough?

I'm just about to move into a new house and I need to turf the garden. Is this a good price to pay for turf and what makes this better than other turf? I haven't a clue about turf or gardening.

There are number of other brands and types of turfs depending on use. For an average household use I would prefer Rolawn or Jubilee from turfonline. 'Rolawn' is one of the old British turf suppliers normally £4+ per metre.

the problem with this is that its a 3 week lead time and you cannot predit the weather 3 weeks in advance. wouldnt want to be laying this in the rain.

Might be a silly question but why not? Apart from getting wet while doing it.
