Reduced again . . . Price includes delivery to UK. Free 30 day Amazon Prime trial required to make purchase as deal is resevered for Amazon.fr prime members.
Item is currently £207 on Amazon.co.uk - you may need a UK kettle lead like this to plug into the standard power pack: amazon.co.uk/gp/…RW/
A bit of a faff, but cheaper than buying via Amazon UK.
Does anyone know if it's straightforward to play MKV files via Plex on this. Some say you can't

Unfortunately Prime only at this point, nevertheless a good deal for a quality product. Had one for many years and was constantly getting firmware updates even after 5+ years!

Most people may not have ever had a prime deal with Amazon.fr I took a 30 day free trial to purchase then canceled the prime.

Technical help isn't an issue. Warranty claims are a little more of an issue though:
No. The warranty service should be obtained by contacting the dealer/ retailer/ e-tailer/ system integrator or distributor where customer purchased the unit. The return of defective unit should be strictly through the original route of purchase. If original channel is in another country and is inconvenient to contact, you may contact QNAP Technical Support for international RMA services. In this case, the customer will be charged handling fee, $50 (USD), and all the fees incurred, including two way freight, duties, taxes and brokerage fee. QNAP encourages you to purchase our products from your local country/ area but not from overseas due to limited communication, higher shipping costs and possibility of delayed delivery.
Obviously this doesn't stop you sending back to Amazon France in the event of a serious issue / fault Tech Support can resolve.

Looks like a crooked plan to stop you buying from a cheaper country.

As long as you buy in Europe warranty is valid and your return postage will be covered too. europa.eu/you…htm
The "Overseas" on that page applies to US customers.

I had a look at this on unboxing reviews. Likely to come with an EU plug, but all you really need is a standard kettle lead to plug into the power brick. I linked one in the description that appears reputable.

Good price, an alternative is of course the hp microserver Gen8 or Gen 10 range if you are unfamiliar

One of the main aspects that make QNAP a more compelling buy for me is its onboard software, support of Plex, HD Homerun DVR and lots of other useful utilities.

A lot cheaper to run and all.
But on the flipside... technically less powerful.

So, I’m guessing this has no disks right? I’m not familiar with French

No hard disc. It tends to be cheaper to source them yourself rather than buy them installed.
