I currently have a data SIM from EE with 32GB and pay £13.50 pm.
I dont need all the data as its only used in the car wifi.
Any tips on a cheap data deal with minimum 6GB??

Was that some special deal you got with EE? How?

It was a special deal initially at half price for 32GB on a 30 day rolling contract reduced from £29 to £14.50. I then made a complaint regarding their billing system and they applied a further monthly discount of £1 which has reduced it to £13.50. I only use the SIM in the car for mobile wifi and NEVER even use half of the 32GB, but can't find a better deal for a cheaper price.

Does anyone know if this is going to be direct through Plusnet (and therefore eligible for TCB or QC), or whether it is going to be an affiliate deal through eg. uswitch ?

No, should be over £7.00 if you use their Highest Cashback Guarantee against Quidco - They will beat Quidco's rate.

Damn! I forgot to use quidco before purchasing this deal. Face slap... Still a good deal. Hope being EE at its core that it's half decent.

Have had my Smarty SIM for a couple of weeks. Coverage of the 3 network is awful and signal strength a joke. Heading straight back to EE.

Depends where you live. My wife moved from Virgin(EE) to Smarty(Three) last week without any issues and the signal is great just like Virgin.

Well I live in London, and either the 3 network is overloaded here or Smarty are only leasing a pitiful amount of bandwidth. Go inside any sizable building and kiss your signal goodbye.
Also, recently did a road trip down to Dorset. Outside major towns and cities there was no coverage. Stayed in the town of Blandford. Population 10,000. Coverage zero.
In 2017 having no coverage in a place of that size is a joke.

As I said depends on where you live and travel. We live in London as well and close to Central London so won't be leaving Smarty anytime soon until my wife experience issues you are having herself.

The 4GB for £9 a month looks good as well. Thanks for the heads up
Oh, nice one. I suppose I could have just googled that really...
You can adjust your own 'smart cap' to "as low as £2" over your allowance.
WHY NOT JUST LET YOU SET IT AS LOW AS ZERO?!?
Then I'd get one.

The last time I tried to joined plusnet mobile they had "server problems" I tried to order twice entered payment details then the site crashed both times. They had pre-authorised the first months payment though for each of my two failed attempts! Needless to say I wont be trying again

Good deal for 2.5GB on an EE MVNO. If only they offered wifi on the Tube in London but it's only the primary networks and Virgin.
