Seems to be a price bug? The price says that the offer expired ages ago but I have bought one and it goes through at £139.99. Get it before they notice!

The £139.99 is a normal price for a 27" 1080p Monitor. If it was £259.99 it would be a QHD.

Got this for £119.99 on Boxing Day from Amazon. It’s ok but I wish I’d gone for something a bit higher spec.

In what way higher spec? IPS? QHD? Im thinking of this for the 1ms for PS4. I dont think IPS displays go that low. Maybe your use is different? Is my thinking right here?

Honestly, in terms of gaming, you won't notice ANY difference in response times unless you are comparing 1ms to 16ms.

Then maybe I'm better off just sticking with my Dell P2414H...a bigger screen and a better gaming experience would be worth it but I'm not desperate for a bigger screen alone. Thanks for your comment.

You're welcome. I think you would be better off sticking with your Dell too... Take the slightly smaller screen size in exchange for the IPS panel, at only 8ms response you would find it hard to spot any real difference between yours and this 1ms TN panel.
I think the only time this wouldn't be correct is if you were playing competitively, for money - but I feel that in such a case you'd probably be wanting to head down the 144hz route anyway.

Great for your grandparents as nobody else would buy 27" monitor with only HD resolution

Im thinking of this for PS4 (non pro). Not a good idea?

No SleepyChris, based purely on the black levels and speaker quality. A different 1080p 60hz monitor will work perfectly though.
I just checked Amazon account and I sent this exact monitor back less than a month ago and bought the "Acer R271bmid 27-Inch Wide FHD ZeroFrame IPS LED Monitor - Black" for 1080p gaming and it's worked a treat. A little more expensive but worth the extra.

Thanks. I'm currently using Dell P2414H which is a great monitor for picture quality but was thinking it's not as fast as my old Samsung tn panel (which is only 1680x1050) aa it blurs quite a bit when planning on cod.

Sent a very similar if not the same monitor back to Amazon the other week, not sure if all TN panels are like this but everything looked like silent hill, washed out and foggy when anything close to black was supposed to be on the screen.
Paid about £50 more for a 27inch 1080p IPS LCD screen. Well worth the extra.

TN panels are always like that. If you've not had much experience with monitors it would be hard to remember that this used to be the norm. Now it's IPS or nothing.

Would this be good for sim racing?

Good stuff, looking out for a 27. I'd have HD no problem, I've no use for any more.

It's 2013 model. Instead I will go for samsung 24 inches cf390 model. It's 2016 model and curved panel. You can buy it for £129.99 from amazon and agros. :skull_crossbones:

Yes exactly - it's not a bad deal at all but can't see how this was ever £259.99.

If it was 4K or even QHD then this would be a deal. This is pretty much the standard price for HD TN panels these days
