Its not rgbw but is 8 bit + frc
Also as a side note waiting to hear if jl will pricematch a different tv on this deal as coop charge £150+ for a 5 year warranty so deal isnt identical
Also with jl have tp pay full price now wait for delivery then submit pricematch so can always say no after delivery

That's not true, you can price match before you buy. I did one the other week. You just have to wait for the delivery and reply back saying your happy with the TV before they refund the money. (So if they have already agreed to the match they cannot say no)

Well yes you can request price match online before you buy and wait 48 hours for them to confirm it by which time maybe out of stock /deal finished, but still have to pay full price and wait for delivery before claiming back the difference, if they agree before you buy they should just charge you the agreed price upfront, what difference does it make if you're not happy and send it back they just refund what you paid.
Would be interested in knowing if anyone successful in getting jl to pricematch, by successful I mean had it submitted to the team that agrees them and confirmation back not just a telephone operator that can't say yes or no but says looks alright but need to submit to the pricematch team

I guess it's because if you pay the lesser amount up front and then return it, they could easily mess up and refund you the full amount which you have not paid.
JL are very good with price matches, payment has always been made back with 3-5 days of the delivery of the product. I also found returns are easy with these even if you get the TV and think it's rubbish they will take it away free and give you a full refund. Not to mention they give you a 5 years warranty as well as matching the price.

well that's what I am waiting on as said above, the deal has to be identical, the coop one isn't as they charge you for the 5 years warranty so JL don't have to pricematch. I have had JL pricematch identical items in the past without issue, also had 5 tvs from them I think in last 12 months due to dodgy sets so well aware of their customer service hence reason wanting to buy from them not the COOP but yet to get a straight answer from the sales team on whether they will pricematch, if I get response back in writing will upload

It does not matter they Inc the 5 years free, so any product you price match does not have to Inc 5 years warranty to matched. I have had 4 TVs price matched by John Lewis over the last 6-7 years all other sites charged for the 5 years and only inc 1 year.
John Lewis still match the price regardless of what the warranty is with the other company.
The match is still identical.
All they go off is: is the product in stock on the other site. Do the other sites sell online and in store (they cannot be an online only retailer) like Amazon. Is the TV the same model

I've got this tv and been really pleased with it. I bought it specifically because of how good it is with HD and SD content, because thats what i watch exclusively at present with Freeview, HD & SD DVD's. Will probably be a while before i start watching 4K stuff. Some 4K TV's are terrible at SD content.
Although i dont think this price is anything special. I paid £569 from AO just before last Xmas.
As for JL price matching.... I tried to get them to pricematch AO, but they wouldn't do it, stating that AO only have 1 yr guarantee.

Sadly Panasonic have started using cheap generic parts in their TVS , like Vestel power supply and main boards , so some their models are no different from likes of Bush , JVC and Toshiba

Could be argued nothing wrong with those parts and they are generic, displays are also shared but its the parts they dont share and the software that makes the tv. Never seen a bush/jvc or toshiba tv look as good as a panasonic!

I think your information is slightly outdated. Panasonic of late have stopped outsourcing and using cheap stuff from Vestel. They noticed the impact it was having on their brand and have redone everything.
For example, the DX902b from last year was voted the best LED TV and it's so good, it hasn't even been replaced this year. Panasonic's quality has gone back to the days of the high quality plasmas.
I have the DX902b and it definitely shows that Panasonic's quality is head and shoulders above the rest. If you saw the state of the 2 Samsung's I returned, you'd easily see who uses better components .
