After having 2 pairs of the more expensive pistons each fail after about a month, I wouldn't touch another pair. They have good sound quality but shocking build quality.

These are not the original piston 2 or 3s by the way. These are the "youth edition" so "cheap" headphones. Not the same class as their other offerings which can rival mid tier Sony's etc these are akin to jvcs you get at Tesco. Not bad for the price but don't think all xiaomi piston earphones are equal in quality

I'd order them myself, but chances are I'll think they're bad. I didn't realise how much of an audiophile I was until a few years ago. It's not a snobbery thing, it's just my ears are really fussy. It actually irritates me to listen to sub-par audio equipment. Kind of annoying that I have to pay through the nose for all my audio needs - not that price always directly correlates with quality, there's some pretty average stuff out there that is overpriced as a premium product that blatantly isn't.

Just a word of caution from me with these...

I have the original version of the pistons and I always have to use the largest plugs for in-ear headphones, whatever the brand.

These didn't fit at all and fell out all the time thanks to large earholes and the plugs being quite short :grin: every other brand I've used the largest plugs were more than sufficient.

Maybe i have had bad luck in getting the ones that break down after a month or two... they are pretty rubbish in reliability and the sound is meh! ....but the price reflects that (don't think anyone should pay anything other than 2 quid..).....these are going to be my 3rd pair...heat added.

Nope, I had 2 pairs of the more expensive pistons both die after a month (both last output from one side) one from Gearbest one from Banggood. Other people seem to have better luck but from my experience, I won't be buying any more of the supposed higher quality ones.
