Depends on how far your are wanting it to reach to? Have you ever considered a powerline adaptor?

I bought this and yes it can extend the range of your wifi. My living room reception is really weak, sometimes dropping connection. I get about 1 to 5MBps connected to my router. I plugged this wifi amplifier into my hallway plug and I now get 20MBps.
Should note, the setup requires an Android device as the app used is on Google play store (couldn't find the app on iOS), so I had to fish out an old android phone.

After the initial set up, is the android app needed?

From my experience so far no, I've turned it off a few times and it still seems to remember the settings

Don't forget TopCashback opportunity with LightInBox. FYI: Marginally more expensive with gearbest if you prefer them as supplier.

I have no internet downstairs but use a wifi extender Internet comes and goes, I get internet in my living room only so if I use this would the Internet work in the whole flat. I am also using a wifi extender which extends to 1 room but not both rooms so if I use this would I get internet in the third room as well and can I use this and wifi extender together.

It could be that this device is good enough on its own to extend your WiFi range from your router.
Thanks, OP and mk-donald. Ordered via Topcashback

I bought this to use when I'm away from home, I tried it with my home setup and was only getting about 30 meg throughput with it ,but without it I get over 90 meg normally so not so good for me.

Can anyone please tell me if this would be likely to be an improvement on my sky wifi extender?

This thing is garbage. Arrived today, is found by Mi Home app, gets to 91% in setup and fails every time. Tried numerous resets, reboots, different phone, same problem. Not worth my time I think I'm going to bin it.

Gave it one last chance, and it's the Mi Home app that's the problem. Anyone else having the problem where it fails at 91% setup..... my advice don't worry about it, the router is ready setup. Simply go to wifi settings find the router and connect using your wifi password. Job done.

Mine has just arrived. I think there are 2 versions: English and Chinese. I think they have sent me the Chinese version rather than the English ordered. I get the impression that the Chinese version will not work with English versions of the android app.
