Spotted these in the Winsford branch, so snapped up 2 packs. Great price for genuine heads.

How often do you change the head on yours?
jalaldevil to Destard
30 Sep 17#6
I change every 4 months, 3 times a year.
Destard to jalaldevil
30 Sep 17#7
Hmm do you only brush your teeth every other day or something? I seem to need a new head every couple of months.
jalaldevil to Destard
30 Sep 17#19
You only need to lightly press against your teeth, a common mistake with people is they often press it too firmly against their tooth which fades the bristles fairly quickly.
You're clearly doing something wrong if you're changing them every 1-2 month IMO. These brushes are specifically made to last 3/4 months.

I press on fairly hard, but mine has a light that tells me if its too hard, comes on alot, and my heads still last a few months, good quality heads, need to change a normal toothbrush monthly haha

How many minutes do you brush? and how many times per day?
Destard to mcormack
1 Oct 17#46
Twice a day. I follow the two minute programme from the brush and then do a quick run over the fronts again for under thirty seconds more.

Do you floss before or after?

I have one of them Phillips aqua flosser things, but it is a bit underwhelming, hence why I rarely floss.

about once every two months. There are four of us so we need around 24 heads per year.

Thanks OP I bought 20 brush heads last week for £6 just as good as Branded ones here is eBay item number if anyone is interested UK seller 262147122124
In my experience they don't last very long (not saying they are all like it) as the bristles are not the of the same quality. I have compared them like for like and you can see the difference quite markedly... I was changing them out after a month, so went back to the branded heads. :unamused: Great price for the real thing... :raised_hand:

Brought some supposedly genuine ones fro our local market a while ago, they look totally genuine, packaging etc, unfortunately on two of them the head becomes loose and the small pin securing the head comes out allowing the head to fall off. I must say that they did look genuine and I can only say they were fakes due to the head coming away from the shaft
ianhalling to Bendown
1 Oct 17#29
Not only that - on non-genuine ones the bristles can also come out and end up in your mouth. There is an obvious danger of swallowing or choking. :worried:

These official toothbrush heads seem to be needlessly expensive.

Have just come back from Home Bargains where I bought myself a new Oral-B Advance electric toothbrush for £5.99.
I was given one of these about 15 years ago and it worked perfectly until it conked out about three years ago. I bought another and that also seems to be working fine but you can never be too careful!
The £5.99 price is cheaper than both Amazon & Ebay so I figured it's worth a punt.

This 'deal' exists in only a few stores - maybe no stores by now.
The Amazon and eBay fakes, however, do exist, and if you take a little care you'll find, as I have and others have, ones that last every bit as long as the genuine ones for a tiny fraction of the price. There are some useless fakes - but there are also plenty of others which are as good as the brand.
