Went hot at Smyth's for £319.99 recently, same price in Toys R Us however use code 8086839990 at the checkout stage for £5 off totalling £314.99.
However if you use the app Zeek you can get as much as 8% discount off the online gift vouchers. So you could pay as little as around £291 if you buy the vouchers and use the code. Which is a big saving on current separate prices and you get the red edition joy-cons.
This is a Pre order for release on 27/10/17.

The £5 off code didn't work when I tried it, so I think it's expired.

Does buying a digital edition bundle like this make it hard to sell on? Effectively you'd be selling a bundle without the game. On the other hand the red edition could be limited making it a collectors item..

Thanks for reminding me hass123. Yep that was a blip for sure. My kids had one of the affected batch but it never broke down. Once they sorted it the Console was awsome for its time. Just got my old Psp out for the grandchildren. With a couple of UMD movies (Alvin and the Chipmunks etc) it keeps them happy for hours on long journeys.

I bought my second hand Wii about 4 years ago for £10. It took 7 years to get there Xboxes and Playstations held their value much better even if their manufacturers have a more diverse product range. Their products are far better than anything Nintendo ever produced. This is surprising giving how Nintendo only has their consoles/handhelds to focus on.
I wouldnt agree they will be £100 post Christmas which I am sure was said "tongue in cheek" but £200 in 4 years time, now thats a possibility. Apart from the Nintendo 3ds which I really like, their products simply dont cut the mustard compared to Sony and Microsoft.

Price isn't directly related to quality. The reason your Wii was so cheap was because it managed to had reached saturation point and demand had plummeted, and also because a large number of them had been traded in for Wii Us. Increase in supply, plummet in demand.

Yep your right. Price isnt related to quality. Most Nintendo products are of such poor quality yet their prices are high. Microsoft and Sony are supreme products on the other hand yet you can pick them up for fairly reasonable prices. My point about the Switch is that yes im betting on it being £200 in 4 years time like crazy_b said

supreme? most if not all console manufacturers have hiccups. Nintendo/sega stuff is (was in sega's case) generally solid the ds hinge thing aside. What about the Ps phat? it wasn't that great a unit and my ps1 died within a year from memory. And i cant not mention the 360! the 360 is flat out the biggest heap of junk console every made.

Hardware issues with warping and easily scratched screens and joy pads that can get stuck if you put them together wrong make this the first Nintendo console I've paused this long in buying. Over £300 for a console my 5 year old could wreck without even trying no matter how hard he tries makes me very reluctant.

Well I let my 4 year old boy use it and it's still like new (I don't even have a screen protector). He puts it in and out of the base with no problems. These issues you describe are almost non existent, we just live in a social media world that highlight the bad.
Imagine going back to the days where reviews hardly existed, you actually bought the console/games because they appealed to you. Now every decision you make is based on what other people have to say......

Can’t believe these are selling near £300!! X box and PS4 now below £200 with games. This will be below £200 near xmas if not sold out. Bet it’s £150 after xmas. Nintendo a pos

Doubtful, demand is going to be high and nothing else competes, can’t see this dropping under £250 for a while....

Not a chance in hell, I seriously doubt this will be £200 in 4 years time never mind in time for this Christmas. These will sell like crazy, you must not follow many Nintendo related products. If you did then you would realise that they never officially dropped the price of the Wii U even though it sold only around only 13 million consoles in its lifetime. Unlike Sony and Microsoft, Nintendo only have one business focus and that's video games. Sony and Microsoft have other divisions, Software, phones, TVs etc to make money from. For Nintendo if they ain't making money from video games they ain't making money hence never selling products for a loss like Sony and Microsoft do. Finally why would they even need to drop the price of the switch? It's selling like crazy everywhere. In Japan they are holding lotterys to win a ticket to be able to purchase one. That's right not win a console but actually win a ticket for the right to purchase one, insane.

I will reply to this post when the price crashes lol. Ds’s everything crashes in prices in the computer game world. Bet the games are £15 each soon not £40

I guess we will see you in a couple of years then.... The New 3ds XL barely drops below £150, so you'll be waiting a while for the Switch to get there.

Not a bad deal which makes a change for Toys R Us. They used to have a decent selection of games and consoles years ago but little or nothing these days. Wasnt surprised to hear they recently filed for bankruptcy protection in the States and Canada. I expect they will do a "Comet" on it shortly after Xmas. 5 Billion in debt. Shrikes........
Uk learnin from their US mistakes, i used shop alot there but through the years, no offers, rrp, no vouchers compared to other retailers, just wasnt the shop to shop, just good to look at new range of toys!!

Wish they would sell the Joy-Cons seperatly like they do in Japan.

If you've got the standard red and blue neon joy-cons then just buy the normal neon joy-cons separately and they are reversed. That way you have either a mix of blue and red or a set of blue and a set of red.
However the red is slightly darker on these joy-cons so it wouldn't be exactly the same colour.

If you've read about that then you'd know it's only USA and Canada that is impacted.

Slightly peed off with the fact that this has a seperate colourway, my Splatoon Bundle came with a regular Red + Neon combination instead of the Pink and Green elsewhere.

good deal, you can get for £300 with the 10% off at nintendo store that was posted if you are a student
When this bundle was announced i was going to get it but after seeing that the game is digital i'd rather just wait for a deal and buy the game and console seperate

If I didn't already have a Switch I'd buy this and sell the download code, then buy a physical copy. Only really worth doing that if you buy the Zeek vouchers though in my opinion and they're limited to what is available.

They earmark it initially with the bank on placing the order then it drops off back available shortly after. Then they take it on dispatch.
So you would need the funds in the bank initially to place the order but it's not actually debited until despatch.
Terms are here:
3. Payment
3.1 Toysrus.co.uk only charge your payment card when we physically despatch your goods not when you place your order. To ensure there are sufficient funds to pay for your order your bank reserves the required amount in your account. This is common practice amongst mail order retailers.
The value of the reserved funds will not be available to spend on your card for the duration of the reservation and will therefore affect your available funds. In normal circumstances the reserved amount will be paid to us when your order is despatched.
