Personally I use them as casual footwear although would probably be ok for indoor sports like badminton etc maybe some road running but for anything more extreme you'd want purpose built

PML - I would use these in the gym and not use these for everyday street wear. Not sure about spending a few thousand pounds having a pair of "purpose built" trainers made

I've always found New Balance to be smaller than their quoted size, but I don't know for this particular shoe.
