Non existent with current sky high gpu pricing! Between high demand from miners and component shortages i dont think there is a chance of a sub £300 gtx1070 anytime this year or much of next either.

This is a absolute bargain. They could get way more in current gpu climate! Heated.

You'll find that once the difficult goes up, the cards will flood out of the market.

Just wait for a mini bubble/crash price spike and you'll get a cheap card.

The GTX 1070 came out in June 2016, one year ago. Are you a time traveller from the future? If so, did we survive the nuclear war with North Korea? PS/ a belated "hot deal"; I was hoping for a deal like this last December before I picked up my 1070.

Definitely. The 580 is broadly equivalent to the 1060, whereas the 980Ti is broadly equivalent to the 1070. You'll get around 20% more performance for only 10% more money, and also save yourself a potentially very long wait.

I was tempted to buy this but ultimately put off by the 250w on full load compared to the 1070's 160w.

Yeap, i have my I7 core/GTX970 OC build nice, cool and quiet even under load, so a 1070 is my next card so it does not mess with my perfectly balanced case eco system. lol

Grabbed one. Thanks OP! Have been waiting for that GTX 1070 from Amazon 2 months ago and it's starting to look like it will never be delivered, so this is a great alternative. And even if that 1070 still ends up coming, I could easily flip this card with a profit

Ideally I would of preferred a 1070 for the less power/heat and 2gb extra vram but not at the expense of around £100 (given that game performance wise there is very little in it) but I will be happy going from a 970 to a 980 ti

GPUBoss is an utterly useless site. The 980 Ti is a lot more powerful than a 1060, which is more comparable to a 980. The 980 Ti is generally around as fast as the 1070. It can even surpass a 1070 when comparing them both in an overclocked state, though it depends on the title. For under £300, for a good model with a solid cooler, when the very cheapest single fan 1070s are selling for £100 more, it's a good deal.

This. For £20/£30 for a good / comparible model, I would go for the 1070 but when it's heading on for over £100, it's not worth it.

In this current GPU climate, this is a great deal.

I am pleased to say that mine has just been dispatched for next day delivery as well :smile:

I ordered one when there was 22 left. Chose the wrong payment, and cancelled. Ordered another straight away and paid for it but got no confirmation. waited, and waited.

Then I ordered again when there was just a few left, paid and got confirmation. But there was no new orders on my novatech account. waited and it showed but it was pending.

Contacted customer service and they've confirmed 1 was cancelled, 1 has gone through. Fingers crossed.

What kind of money were they asking for the non-existent RX 580s? IMO they shouldn't cost any more than the launch price of the RX 480s i.e. ~ £200

I saw a used RX480 listed locally a few weeks back and though it'd make a nice upgrade for my son's rig, until I was told the price - the guy wanted £280!! For a card that's roughly on par with a factory clocked GTX 970.

This mining boom has a lot to answer for.

Got mine today (international shipping so took a bit longer. Am going to install it tomorrow, I'm pretty excited! The product box was pretty beaten up though, giving the impression it was a returned product. Also, the anti static bag had some stains on it, but it still looks properly sealed and from what I've seen so far the card still looks brand new, so idk :thinking:

Very impressed with this card. Boosting to 1525mhz when playing Titanfall 2 and Crysis 3. Seems stable so far. Running on air in a small form factor case. +87 voltage, +400 on memory and around +150 on core. Temps around high 70's which isn't great but wont really hurt the card.

I'm running +150 on core and +400 on memory as well without increasing the voltage. Didn't try to push it to the max though, core wouldn't run stable at 175 so set it back to 150 and left it there, and memory I just set at 400 and left it there.
Edit: oh and temp hitting max 81 when stress testing (mind I only have 2 case fans in a Fractal Design Define S, 1 intake and 1 outtake)

What is it boosting to? I've had mine into the low 80's too with it being a small case. Just had to bump my fans up a little. Fantastic card. Such a bargain.

1525MHz core and just above 1950Mhz memory. I'm really happy with it as well. Was running a R9 390 so this is quite the upgrade. Play mostly Rainbow 6 Siege on a 1080p 144hz monitor, so with the R9 390 I had to turn the graphics down to medium settings and I got an average of 120fps. Now I can almost max out the settings and I get an average 170fps.
