Being stupid as I am I've no idea what I'm voting for but sounds good...so have some heat. :neutral_face:

Supports google play store, comes with Android Nougat 7.1 out of the box with apps such as Netflix, hulu etc already preinstalled. Further to my comment above, widevine limits netflix and amazon prime streaming to 720p and youtube to 1080 resolutions, but the box supports playback of 4K video files.

You'll be able to use this by Christmas.

No doubt it is cheap, and worth the money.

Just be aware that it will take 3/4 weeks for delivery and if it is faulty you have a long way to send it home.
If you are not sure, stick to Amazon delivery or Ebay delivered from the UK.
I now have two with the 912 chipset and it is chalk and cheese with the 905, if you intend to use it on a very regular basis pay a bit more and you will not be disappointed. My two cost about £43 each within the last 3 months, I have a KM8 Pro and a Sunvell T95Z box, and they are both excellent and vey fast.

These are used to watch Films, TV, Sport in case you do not know. :unamused:

I bought 2 of these boxes recently. You'll need to get Amazon Prime Video and BBC iPlayer from Aptoide click. Otherwise when you try to get them from the play store it will say 'Your device isn't compatible with this version'.

Being an Android device - I assume one can easily install Kodi on this?

These boxes come rooted as well so install Adaway apk to block annoying ads when using Mobdro and UkTVNow apk.

Great price I will be purchasing multiples of these for family and friends! Does anyone know if I am more likely to get stung at customs buying more than 1 at a time? Or should I make individual purchases of each?

Kodi will very likely be pre-installed on the box.

If not, just install it from Google play.

I prefer my boxes to have libreelec installed so you don't have to faff with anything - boot straight in to Kodi and job done. Makes the box a lot nippier as well

Does this do dts passthrough via external hard drive without sound drop outs? Had this problem with a previous box.

I've just started looking at these android boxes - I would think that the 2.4Ghz only wifi is a bit limiting, especially if you want to stream videos, though you can't beat an ethernet cable.

Might be stupid.. but is Kodi an app that enable u to watch movies for free??? If so.. does buying this TV box mean u'll be ale to watch whatever source free(on kodi)??

if your technical knowledge extends to this type of question, i'd avoid buying one.

kodi itself has nothing to do with "free" movies.

I installed kodi beast mode on my fire stick and it's fine for tv/films but I often find all the sports streams either don't work or stop working after a few mins. Am I doing something wrong as everyone always talks about how good KODI is? I have BT fibre so internet speed shouldn't be a problem

all that you're experiencing is what the vast majority of people do in that the free streams are hit and miss because of the fact they're free and also the fact that the premier league are also now actively tackling illegal streams, so you might be unlucky and find the one you're watching gets taken offline.

you're very likely doing nothing wrong, but you've just really got to do a bit of pre-preparation work to ensure it goes smoothly. go through your addons and try to find the links that are the most reliable and stable and favourite them - obviously not 5 minutes before the game starts ..

be prepared to change between links mid-game if need be.

also, always make sure you've got the very latest add-ons installed that have sports access. uk turks is one of the best ones out there but it's also been offline recently as well.

you can find an IPTV provider and pay for access and, as far as i'm told, get perfect quality streams every time.

Your're watching the free IPTV which is :poop: . I use paid IPTV (£26 for 6 months sub) for quality sports streams.

I'm with sportsmania, they're not accepting anymore members. They're all more or less the same anyway so choose another provider (there's LOADS to pick from). If your're a big sports fan i.e boxing, the sub pays for itself. I've watched all the big fights in HD, can't wait for the canelo vs GGG fight. :raised_hand:
You can use sportsmania on any device i.e browser on your PC/laptop, or tablet or android TV box.

Best thing to do is to add your paid IPTV to a TV guide click. This is my set up right now, one click and sports channel with play in HD or FHD.

If buying this solely as a Kodi media streamer, Libreelec is the way to go.

only difference i can see is s905w is same as s905x without the [email protected], ive just noticed both these boxes dont have bluetooth :-( i like pairing them up with ps controllers....i like the clock on the front,main menu and remote more on the box you linked to.. im temped to cancel and order that one

plenty of them have been but just as many have replaced them. you just need to look.

i agree 2gb is more than enough for most users. in my experience it rarely uses more than 1gb, that figure even goes down to 800mb when playing 4k movies! i guess the gpu takes some of the slack?

Had the box myself had to give it away didn't like certain video players and it would freeze up a bit to often had to pull the plug a good few times on it to get it back up and running no point sending it back it would cost to much.

Freezing COLD this one. I bought the box a few weeks ago and it was rubbish. Unstable and kept crashing within minutes. The only good news was Banggood paid a refund once i posted a video. Many videos on youtube with the same issue.

Stupidly this only has 10/100 NIC though which will be borderline for some high bitrate 4k streams.

Had one like this and it lasted 3 months. Was great when it worked but apparently they do not like being powered off at the wall like a Tv. Light comes on now but nothing on the Tv

I've always kept my Nexbox 905X plugged in at the wall. I do power down with the remote though each night...

Already been 2 weeks since ordering, now another 2 weeks for it to may be in stock is pretty disappointing.

This box does not support Libreelec which is a major disadvantage! Not impressed when cheaper boxes such as mecool hm8/nexbox a95x does, so think carefully if you want to mod or run different roms on it. If you have chance to cancel the order, consider it.

Mine finally arrived yesterday - lot nicer to use than my previous M8mini. Am impressed so far!
