Detroit Style Pizza - sounds OK as long as they don't have garlic in the ingredients.

Saying you don't like garlic is like saying you don't like cheese, or tomato, or onion. It's pretty much in everything, especially pizza!
Sounds like you just don't like pizza, in which case, why are you in here?

That's the trouble - they're putting garlic in more and more things that it never used to be in. Even in Italy they don't put garlic in margherita pizza or other meals the way they do here. I think it's used to masque the taste of cheap/bad ingredients in a lot of cases - same way cheap sandwiches are dripping in mayonnaise so they can give you less real filling and you can't see what it looks like. I've had to stop buying lots of things I once liked because of the amount of garlic in them that never used to be there. I used to be able to buy pizza without garlic in ingredients at one time - now it's virtually impossible and people seem to think a pizza has to contain garlic or it's not a pixzza, which is not the case.

the dirty fries are fantastic the cheese and tomato pizza was delicious and super soft fluffy base (if your oven has fan assist don't use that it dries out the pizza and it wont come out so good)

Yum! Just tried the pepperoni one (All Fired Up) - super tasty, on a soft thick base with lots of cheese.
Only half filled me up and I had it without sides

I bought the steak and meatball ones today. There was a large amount of choice of sides(of what I can remember)- pizza fries, dirty fries, sweet potato fries, chicken and rice balls, potato wedges and more. Pop in! The pizzas are really thick, I was surprised at how big they are compared to the flimsy ones you buy from Sainsbury's already made

Is this going to be a regular thing or just a few days only? Also, what are the sides please?
Sorry if this is in the link, but my work filter blocks M&S for some reason.

Really looking forward to trying these. My favorite pizza's are Detroit style pizza's from a chain called Jets Pizzas they have lots of outlets all over Michigan. Never managed to find Detroit style Pizzas over here before.

The last £10 pizza offer was 2 pizza, 2 sides and a dessert....appreciate that these are detroit style but worth dropping a dessert - ich dont think so

these pizzas are £6 each and the last offer included the £4 pizzas so.....i guess that is why.... all the sides are the same, even the pizza fries

Has anyone noticed the Asda pizzas are getting worse in quality now? Bread used to go crispy now it's heavy and doughy, rubber ham and chicken etc.?
Might try these with a view to switching allegiances.

I noticed that too. I believe most supermarket chains lower the quality of the ingredients they use in order to make more profit, as simply reducing the size is too much noticeable
Any chance of posting the full image as the thumbnail is tiny and you can't read any of the descriptions.

Inspired by light, soft Detroit style pizzas the pizza are focaccia squares and are loaded to the edge with generous toppings,

Most Local pizza joints do bogof mon - Thu on pizza. So you could get 2 small for well under £10. (total for 2 would be from £5.30 - £7 dependant on toppings at mine)
