I got one, delivered yesterday. Looking at it, I'm a bit sceptical about the alleged full price (£150?) since the build quality is nothing to write home about and it's definitely not worth that. But for £27 it is very cheap, certainly does the job and I have zero complaints. Thanks Chanchi!

A whole kitchen for £1200? Sorry but I don't use dodgy contractors and I don't live in a council house....for your holiday keep reading the Sun...they do the £9 holidays which Iam sure you tried before

You can use a hood - they can either extract or recirculate with carbon filter supplied with the unit! Just need a plug in the right place!

Hi, I'm not very good with DIY but my current hood is 11cm tall (width and depth appears ok match) and does not have a chimney, the duct believes goes from inside/back of the hood to the wall and out of the house side wall.
Can I still use this and just not use the chimney please? Also a would I be able to keep the ductings inside/back the hood connecting to the wall hole?
Just realised there is two models on this post, any one of them suitable to replace my old hood please?
Many thanks
Heat for deal btw

11cm tall? Surely not that's tiny 4.5" are you sure? As for chimney it's actually fake you can exit the duct anywhere behind the hood, the "chimney" is just a cover.
Without more detail it's hard to judge suitability.

Sorry for stupid question, but do they need make a whole in the wall. If yes, do they makes your kitchen colder during colder days?
OrribleHarry to Sliwka
23 Sep 17#41
No, but it's best too.
Usually you only switch on when cooking and it extracts air out, not in. But also the outlet in the wall generally has a snood or louvres to prevent draughts blowing in.

I know right? Got my kitchen remodelled and rearranged a couple of years ago but no-one accounted for the gas pipe. Tried to get it changed halfway through but was told ‘it was fine’. Had I thought about a hood all these years ago I’d have been fine but I guess I’ll get it moved when I decide to redecorate it again.

Just moved to a new flat and they have a hotpoint hs63x extractor, but it is missing the carbon filters and dead lamps, so it looks like it is vented, but I have no clue! Just bought this one as I measured and it fits, purchased as it seems that it will sold out soon, hope to understand how it works!!
