Real bargain. 5kg £9.50 and 10kg £10 today at Tesco Liverpool. Also not to forget that's the best Basmati I ever tried, take it from a brown man, we know about rice :joy:

Uncle Bens LOL. Last time I had kohinoor gold XL it was really starchy and poor quality after previously being a fan of it. I'm on tilda at the moment and get consistent results, doesn't even need washing

You probably had too much water, I've tried them both. But definitely any rice you need to wash. Cuz the production method isn't that hygiene.

tilda looks clean to me and boiling will kill anything anyway. I used correct water it must have been a bad batch maybe

been this price for a while. Personally i like it but hopefully come the end of Diwali it will drop by a pound or two (has happened previously like that at Tescos)
