Hot. Need a new one and want a wok burner. This sounds like an awesome deal although i'm not sure why they would retail at such a huge price to begin with (£1,000)
Only thing putting me off buying is that it doesn't state in the specs if it has automatic gas cutoff when ignition stops. I thought that was a legal requirement now. Might not be, just think it is... any gas engineers on hukd ? :grin:

yep link does not work. so just search hotpoint clearance and on their website in the search box put KHGD577510. thats how I found it

Lady at my work tries to be a bit posh and is obsessed with KitchenAid stuff and either she is jinxed or it's just really badly made (And their customer service is awful) In the year she has been on our team she has had 2 kettles, 2 toasters and an all in 1 thing that cooks a whole meal for you. Every single item has had a problem and been replaced or returned but she goes back for more from their range!

Have ordered quite a few things from the clearance site in past 6 months, and though generally I don't rate the Hotpoint items,the oven and tumble drier we bought were great buys, and have been really impressed! This hob was next on my list, it has been this price for at least 6 months, but couldn't get it yet!

I had THIS installed the other day, Have no idea what makes a good or bad gas hob, But all the safety features, Gas on black glass, 90cm size, Wok burner and full cast iron supports and looks stunning, All for 140 quid.

You're right it looks similar. But I would happily pay the extra £120 for the 5KW wok burner on he kitchen aid.

Don't get a glass hob, oh to late. Have one and they easily scratch and when wiping worktop inadvertently knocked a glass place mat that smashed into a thousand pieces and fractured the glass hob edge, touched up with a touch of paint. There the devils own to keep clean, stainless steel from now on.
