1. Buy phone 2. Cancel contract
Aye, it's a head-scratcher and no mistake.

I recently got a Giffgaff 64gb refurb that arrived without the tiniest mark on it for £259 unlocked. Just a thought for those who don't mind not having the box.

or o2 refresh for £216 but for a new phone this is a great deal !

Yes, I agree. Better to buy new. Second hand is always risky, even with the 1 year warranty which is offered. People need to remember that the years warranty will be provided by the seller and not by apple.

Just bought a phone at CPW with 1 month EE contract to save some money. Anyhow you cannot cancel until 30 days (minimum contract period) then there is a 30 day notice period so be warned you will have to pay another 2 months on top of the phone price..

I'm sure it is.
It's just inferior to the one found in the 6S, which is all I was saying.

So let's get this straight:
259.00 upfront cost 13.99 monthly contract - 1 month contract (250min, 250MB, unlimited text) you can't cancel until 30 days, and you need to give 30 days notice, so you have to pay for 2 months = 27.98 total cost 286.98
possible 65 cash back quidco quidco.com/car…180 but they might not pay out as you're cancelling after 30 day (likelihood is low to get it IMO)
Vs brand new price, sim-free/unlocked 299 seems like a lot of work for 12 quid savings. Sorry this isn't a deal

+1 on this. The same with O2 refresh deals. There is a a chance that the contract cancelation doesn't go through then it will effect your credit score. Its fine if you are young and free however if you are thinking of getting a mortgage...etc I would not recommend getting it. I rather apply for credit card buy it Sim free (even tho if its £100 more expensive) then pay it off every month

I'm not sure the faff of having to cancel the contract is worth it when it's only £28 more to get it from John Lewis with a 2 yr guarentee.

I got a Brand New iPhone se 32gb from e2save yesterday (delivered today) on EE 1gb 4g data with unlimited calls and texts, for £17.99 (£14) after cash back , so total £336 over 2 years, if you say the contract is worth £5 pm , the phone costs £216 over 2 years.

Buy it from John Lewis for £299 and get a completely unlocked phone that has a 2 year guarantee. Worth the extra £26.01 IMO.

E2save IPhone SE 32gb new on EE 1gb 4G data £17.99 (£14 after cash back) per month for 2 year
Too much hassle with redeeming cash back those? And what do you have to do?

If a 2 minute job every few months isn't for you then fair do's , personally I have cash back deals going at the moment which take a couple of mins to download your bill then upload it to mobiles.co.uk or e2save.co.uk i have a 2 EE 7gb sim only contracts which include BT sport and Apple Music which are in reality costing me less than £3 per month each.

No you can do it online, takes minutes and costs nothing, they send the cash back by cheque so it's a visit to the bank. im paying £34 pm for 2 EE sims and getting £60 cash back every 2 months, the iPhone SE deal with e2save requires uploading your bill every 4 months for 2 years, obviously I have not done that yet as I only got the phone earlier this week. its only a good deal if you are a light user and are in need of a new contract, my wife will be using the sim when I transfer her number to EE from plusne
