Don't know if anyone can help with this but I have a Duracell CEF14UK charger and a number of Duracell AA and AAA rechargable batteries, and when i try to charge them then i get a number of them with a flashing red LED on the charger, which I assume means that the battery is dead (at least that's what the charger thinks). If i was to get one of these "intelligent" chargers, would that bring these batteries back to life? Would i have more visibility on the state of them? Or would it be much the same problem? Thanks in advance

According to this "This is a fairly basic charger, but it does allow you to charge a mixture of batteries at different charge rates, and does handle some types of Lithium-ion batteries which is a big plus if that's what you need. But it's not as flexible as some other 7dayshop charges - it doesn't have a reconditioning function, for example." review on 7dayshop it will not. You'll need a different charger
Another good rival for Multismart 300 is the Xtar VC4 (£18.99 from Amazon at the mo: link).
Similar spec albeit a bit less (4 individual charging channels, variable charging voltages, but no test function) however is USB powered which for me is a big plus (however does limit max charging power to 500ma per channel if using all 4 - no issue for me as slow batteries are happy batteries!).

I just bought a charger from Amazon, it doesn't do individual modes and the 18650, AA and AAA are all fixed at 500ma even though it says, 500, 1000 and 2000ma.
It only changes to 1amp and 2 amp depending on the battery type.
Golisi S4.
Plus when you press the select button for battery info, after 1 second it goes back to showing battery voltage. Plus there are two buttons on the side and they both do the same thing.
I can copy and paste that to Amazon.

Good that it can do the larger type of battery, bad that you can not do individual modes for each battery.

Agreed, I would go for the Multismart 3000 for an extra £3 as it gives you the individual modes, test mode and better display.
