This has been posted before (Previous deal ) but now the price has dropped again ! There is a £50 cashback offer as well running at the moment but I can confirm that you can't use both so trade-in an old printer obviously is the best option as you would get £100 back.

Another Instant-Ink question....
Can the starter cartridge be used up before commencing the instant-ink program or does it need to be registered right out of the box?

I signed up with this code, the website says charge period does not start until the ink that is sent is inserted. My start up ink are still start up ink and have not changed codes.

Received the printer, it is a big bulky monster but overall very happy with it, especially the scan to email function but it is very complex to set up. It has apps to scan to your google drive and I would strongly recommend creating a new gmail account just for the printer!
What surprised me was the cartridges - they made a whooshing popping sound almost as if they are pressurised. So on top of the chips which can be turned on and off HP seem to be using a pressurised system to stop you using compatible inks. Noticed also the very high cost of replacement compatible inks - hopefully with time the prices will come down.
I have signed up to the ink supply system - the website seems to have changed so you cannot stack two codes and it states this. Given the cost, I am tempted to to use the service on and off - has anyone tried this?
I've added the 3 year warranty, and put in the trade-in details. Lets see what happens

It looks quite good even just using as fax machine. HP Digital Fax With HP Digital Fax, you can save incoming, black-and-white faxes to a computer folder on your network for easy sharing and storage, or you can forward faxes through email—allowing you to receive important faxes from anywhere while working away from the office. In addition, you can turn off fax printing altogether — saving money on paper and ink, as well as helping to reduce paper consumption and waste. media.dustin.eu/med…pdf

Can someone advise with instant ink is it different number of cartridges per plan or is it a set sent out and as you use it they replace it? - considering signing up for 2 months and cancelling

When I signed in they sent me set of cartridges , so as you use- replace. I'm not sure what's if you disconnect printer after 2 months from internet with new cartridges. You can have 3th month with referral code.

Woo - missed out on the 8710 one by going to lunch and coming back and the price had gone up, so jumped on this.
Quidco'd (which I think the price in the title reflects) and my £59 colour laser which will cost me 3x that to replace the toners (which are running low) I will gladly depart with for £100  Mrs. has just started a new job and having a duplex'ing, scanning, more 'friendly' printer will be great (a £59 colour laser is a fussy, jamming, piece of crap, really!)
Thanks, OP!

Printers like this are a loss leader. They make a loss on the printer and rake the profits in through ridiculously overpriced ink and toner.

Actually the ink for this is pretty reasonable as manufacturer ink goes, the 957 black catridge is £34 for 3000 pages.

This is a ridiculously low price for such a printer. Make sure you print a suitable amount though, the ink cartridges are pretty large (3,000 pages black, 1,600 colour for the best value ones. 1000 black, 700 colour for the smallest).
