Blazers and sports jackets are different, they are usually weighted, made of hard wearing materials and sometimes have different buttons or none at all. A suit jacket is finer, easier to damage and has a distinct pattern which matches only the pair of pants that come with it, you will never be able to pick up a pair from m&s or a random clothing shop to match this suit.
Orphaned suits as they are called, become cheap because they are undesirable and unusable fashion wise.
