Google Pixel XL 32gb for £574 total cost. Vodafone 24 months at £21 plus upfront £70 using 'vc15off'. Currently selling phone only new for £449 @ carphone warehouse so it's like paying an extra £125 to get 24 months of 1gb of data and unlimited texts and calls. That's just £5.21 a month. Giffgaff can't beat that!

Think that I'd rather go with 2gb on a Tesco SIM for £9 and buy the phone from CPW just to avoid Voda. Tesco is only a 12mth contract to boot. Not voted either way.

Just affords some people to spread cost if they can't outlay £449 in one go.

It it had a memory card slot I'd buy this right now, hopefully a 128gb deal will be along soon.
Hot if 32gb is enough for you though

It wont happen. It is more likely it will be discontinued.

I decided to go for the 128GB standard Pixel for £27 a month. For me, the extra memory flexibility was the better option. Been wanting a Pixel for ages, but price was ridiculous.

I really want this phone, but none of the kit i have is obsolete so will have to give this a miss.

Google Pixel 2 has just been announced (or leaked) to be shipping October 5th. We can expect retailers to want to shift their old stock ready for the new shipment next month.

I'll buy another google phone when they get better at keeping updates going for a longer period.

I have nexus 6p. Just recently got oreo update. Had the phone for 2 years. Before that I had LG g2 which had updates for the 2 years I had it. Not sure what my next phone will be, probably a lower priced Chinese unit which certainly won't get updates

I'm not sure what's funnier the price tag or the only review of this phone on mobiles.co.uk.

I believe the Pixel will get security updates till October 2019. Far better than my "flagship" LG G4 which was abandoned after 6 months, currently on July 2016.

I doubt 1Gb of Data/month is enough for almost anyone, especially as its a 24month contract. Who'd tie a flagship phone to a hobbled data allowance, especially for 24 months? The majority of people would be better off buying it sim free and getting a SIM only deal to meet their needs.
Like the OP says... SIM only price is £449 at carphone warehouse. Makes this deal give you 1Gb for £5.21/Month (and tied in for 24 months)
FreedomPop offer 1.25 Gb Data for £5/Month ID Mobile offer 1 GB Data for £5/Month ID Mobile also offer 2 GB Data for £6/Month (through uswitch) Other options are available of course, eg £8/month gets you 3Gb Data through Plusnet Mobile.
All of those are 1 month rolling contracts, so free to switch anytime a better deal comes along or your needs change. I've not voted, as I appreciate some people may find 1GB/month enough, and value this as a means of spreading the payments, but for me it seems a poor deal.
