Godiva chocolate, new to the UK and now £1.50 in sainsburys instead of £2.
Think our American cousins love it, Thornton's equivalent

Look at the box...made in Turkey!!!!...with Belgian chocolate....Godiva is now owned by a Turkish company and these cheap ranges are not like the proper stuff.

I have absolutely no idea why this chocolate range is getting any attention, and is certainly not worth the price even at this cost!
I was expecting something special, but it tastes like cheap, fake advent calendar chocolate. Actually, I prefer advent calendar chocolate! I'm a big chocolate fan, but this was the only chocolate I've ever bought that I've spat out and binned.
Certainly wouldn't recommend it at all, but feel free to try it and see what I mean...

I thought Godiva was Belgian, not American.

Turns out I was wrong anyway according to another poster. Who knew that the Americans were so keen on Turkish chocolate!

Our American cousins love it because it is either the posh stuff like this or Hersheys that has that vomitty aftertaste from the way they process their milk to preserve it by controlled lipidosis, producing butyric acid (the acid that gives spew its taste and smell).
Godiva is FAR better than Thorntons - one of the very best commercial chocolates out there.
