Grab your friends and family, this is cheaper than the Christmas meal is costing at work! 3 nights in Gdansk for £36.04pp. What a bargain! It also looks like the Christmas markets start on 2nd (but there is some conflicting information online with some sites saying 5th) so you may have chance to see them, I'll update this thread if I can find out bit there is sure to be plenty to do with or without the markets.
The apartment sleeps 4 (double and double sofa bed) so you need to be happy sharing in a great centrally located apartment with balcony.
Flights are with RYANAIR (stop reading now if you don't want to fly with them), and the arrival time is a bit rubbish as it's just after midnight but you can head straight to your apartment and sleep (or head out for a few drinks)! Unfortunately these are the only times available flying from Newcastle.
You then leave on the Monday tea-time so you still have plenty of time to explore and at this price you can't ask for any better.

Why would you even consider giving money to Ryanair? The way they've just treated almost 400,000 people, I would never touch them.

Cold Ryanair is the worst airline in the history of airlines, I personally only used the once and that was 8 years ago and I swore never to use them again and I haven't :stuck_out_tongue:

Somebody click expire please (apparently 3 expired clicks aren't enough to warrant expiring a deal!!)

I guess it's safe to say this deal should be expired now. I just hope everyone who has booked this has paid a little extra for their hotel to get free cancellation or else a lot of people will have lost a lot of money from this "deal". I just hope people learn and stay away from Ryanair in future no matter how temptingly cheap the flights seem

Anyone who booked this should check their Ryanair app or go online - I noticed that the flights I booked 2 days ago have now been cancelled. I had not been notified

If you don't fancy the apartment there are loads of really cheap hotels in Gdansk, we've been several times (including last week!). If you want to be central, google the location of the Hard Rock Cafe, and stay as near to that as you can. There's a very central Novotel that's usually £20-£30-odds a night. We stayed in Hotel Sadova this time, which is brand new, central, immaculate with a lovely pool and next to a tram stop if you want to venture out of the city centre.

From the airport to the apartment how do you get there? Is it far? Newcastle my nearest airport after Tees valley but any flights from there are high prices.

Aren’t Ryanair shrinking the size of cabin baggage you’re allowed to take on the plane from the 1st of November?!

Provided you even get to board the plane..

There is no change to the bag size allowance but from 1st November, the cabin bag policy will change. After that date, only the 35 x 20 x 20cm smaller bag of the two bags Ryanair currently permit you to take on board free of charge will be allowed in the cabin with you. The larger 55cm x 40cm x 20cm bag (max 10 kgs) will have to go in the hold unless you pay extra for priority boarding which will then allow you to take it in the cabin and store it in an overhead locker. Easyjet have a similar bag policy already.
I would always try not to go with Ryanair but looking at Croatia next year to get to Zadar - its our only option without heading down South to get a flight - its the same for quite a few places - so not ethics just no option.

I'm with "you_gotta_be_kidding" anyone spending money with ryanair after they have so badly shafted so many customers is so wrong to support Michael O'leary. The airline deserves to have a massive loss over the next few years, then perhaps they will treat their customers with a bit of respect. On the other hand if you do go ahead and spend money with them, and they stiff you next time, no sympathy coming from me, you have been warned in spades.

Personally I’d never fly again with Ryanair, even if it is cheaper than getting a bus. But people have short memories, and ethics and feelings of moral indignation go out of the window when it comes to saving a few quid.

Even with the late check in fee, will there be anybody at the apartments to let you in that time of night?! Could be pushing 2am (or later if flight delayed).
Great deal for the accommodation, but if you book Ryanair you might not make it to the accommodation and may have a lot of stress worrying about getting there or getting home. Plus your party will probably be split into different places on the plane unless you pay extra charges.

Just checked small print and there is a 100zl mandatory cleaning fee and 60zl charge for arriving after 10pm. Puts about £35 on total room cost but not too bad split 4 ways

Great apartment block, only built last year so not even on google maps but very nice and modern. Only 5-10 mins walk to old town. Would definitely expect to pay a late arrival charge of £15-20 for arriving at that time. Great city, relatively compact and eating / drinking out about half UK prices.
