It's cheap, less than £150pp for a week half board Inc flights, luggage, transfers and hotel. I don't think the weather will be hot, but for a getaway, it's cheaper than going away in the UK and with a much better chance of warmer weather than here.

Most of them probably voted for Brexit without even thinking about it despite living there.

Have stayed there and it is not miles out, quite smart, 5 mins in a cab to the centre, or a walk along the front, there are some bars, restaurants about but not sure what it would be like in deepest December. Often nice warm days too, decent hotel too for those who don't want the stag and hen chaos of town.

Could always try going "aye up and away" with Yorkshire Airlines and fly Alan Bennett class.

This hotel is right on the outskirts of Benidorm, it's actually in La Cala Finistrat. It's a good area but nowhere near the English bars that are located on the Levante beach side of Benidorm if that's your thing. Benidorm old town is about a 1.5 mile walk.

Given the ongoing Ranair cancellations be aware that Thomas Cook pilots are involved in ongoing strike action - express.co.uk/tra…air

Apparently this also works for a family of 4 for £565.96, and Leeds are on school holidays if you don't mind travelling down to Manchester. There are some self catering options for just over £100pp and some more half board options a little more too.

15kg luggage allowance is a bit low.

Really? I travelled for just over 3 weeks with less than 10kg!
