I cycle and I drive.
Most annoying thing that happens when cycling is the number of people who don't look around before stepping into the road. They think because they can't hear a car that the road is clear. People even do it when pushing children in prams. Crazy. Look around before stepping into the road!

Blimey, looking at some of the anti-cyclist comments here you can see why cyclist might need to learn first aid!

Step 1. Do not shout at pedestrians. Step 2. Do not hit pedestrians. Step 3. Do not blame motorists when you do hit a pedestrian. Step 4. Call 999.

Edit: Step 3. Do not blame motorists when you do hit a pedestrian (unless motorist(s) fall into the "total moron" category and impatiently overtakes within inches of the cyclist)

So it's ok for a cyclist to hit a pedestrian if it means saving himself?
Hmmm, selfish, just as I thought!
Saying that, I suppose you think it's ok for a cyclist to pass cars, buses and trucks on the inside "within inches" when it suits them, yes?

I'm going to take a wild guess based on the content of your response that you don't cycle?!
My comment was meant to follow on from what I assumed was a humorous comment - my mistake obviously.
Just to clarify most cyclists where possible try to avoid colliding with pedestrians and motorists, mainly because the cyclist will more than likely end up with worse injuries and more importantly damage their precious bike! However, I can't speak for the cyclists that switch between road and path, jump red lights etc. that is not myself and unfortunately you will always get numpty's both on bikes and in cars - such is life!
In response to your last comment, I usually overtake other road users in the middle of the road (drivers side) but only when traffic is still or slow moving. This is the safest way to overtake as most drivers don't check their mirrors or watch out for cyclists.
The biggest problem is the small number of drivers (most are fine) who see cyclists as an annoyance that shouldn't be on the road rather than a fellow road user.

Is the first step not to ride through red lights or not to pass by wagons and buses on their left?
