Single digit worked for me too. Got loads of google accounts but don't actually want all the films. Some of them have got rotten reviews and some I've never heard of. But happy with the ones I've got now.

Just checked the 4 films I redeemed, and all are missing the HD flag on YouTube's purchases page. They're flagged as HD on my TV's YouTube app, but I tried playing them and they all top out at 480p. Bit of a shame, but they were free so I'm not that bothered.

Are you trying to watch these on your phone? Mine all show as 480 on my phone, but 1080 through my television.

Just a side note for people wondering on how to check their movies are HD on Google Play. There are two ways:
* Playing the movie on your mobile device, Smart TV or via an android box/chromecast - you can check the Google Play Movies & TV app to see what streaming quality is like. * going to Purchases on Youtube, selecting a movie, settings (click clog), quality - HD is 720 or 1080.
Just make sure you check the movie on more than one device to be sure, as some movies may only play SD on some devices. The easiest way to check is finding a movie that streams in HD on one of your devices. I suggest looking at titles redeemed prior to July 2017, as thats when I started getting issues with movies I have redeemed.

Claimed 8 movies from this promotion and youtube is only giving the option of 480p or lower. I tried the movies I got from last years promotion and they are all aviliable to play up to 1080p so don't know what is going on.

Does anyone know if these redeem as SD or HD? I have noted all my redeems in the last two months for Fox Movies are showing as SD and not HD. Even those from HD movie codes from Blu-rays.

Wow, you're right - had no idea. Redeemed one this morning and it isn't listed as HD, whereas previous movies I've redeemed are. Why would they advertise the offer as 'Digital HD' if they're not in HD?

I contacted Google Play who told me to contact Fox. Fox responded back saying their codes are HD and that I need to contact Google Play. So now I am raising another ticket with Google Play including a response from Fox.

Nice one - was going to do the same. Let us know how you get on.

It's probably a good idea to raise a ticket anyway, as you will need to so get the movie corrected.
Just mention that you contacted Fox and they advised that their code(s) were HD and the problem needed to be resolved by Google Play.

I've redeemed 6 films on this promotion, and all have redeemed as HD. I also bought the Alien 6 film box set yesterday, and all 6 films redeemed as HD. Are you redeeming them on a PC or a mobile/tablet?

All have been on a Windows 10 PC or Tablet.

Doesn't look like anyone's mentioned that you can use the code off a Pringles can that's not part of the "Free Movies" promotion too. I've been using variations of the code on my "Free Wireless Speaker" can, and several google accounts, to add more films to my collection. So, if you've got any old cans lying around, try those - no need to buy a new one

Something else to note: you can use multiple Google accounts but still add the films to your main one. Doing it through a phone at least, you choose a secondary Google account when prompted on the site, but when it redirects to the Play Store it applies the code to whatever account it's currently signed into (ie your main one). So, if you create enough accounts (four for each one) you could in theory collect all the films.

This uses a kelloggs account, same as the recent sweet nights in promotion on chocolates. I know that codes could not be reused on that deal as one could I used off a purchased packet did not work and I had to complain
paaaaul to brandonheat
21 Sep 17#13
It uses the same account that the last Movie Night promotion used, and that promotion didn't allow codes to be reused either. But this one does.

Buy one. Enter the number as first code. Change the last digit and enter that as your second number. Bingo. Cheap film. And the codes can be reused, meaning you can get four films with one code...

Worked. Also, the codes are printed on the base of the cans on the outside, not on the inside of the foil lid. Snap one with your phone and thats all you need

Yeah, noticed that earlier today. They should have kept the previous years code format which didn't have an obvious sequence. That and printing the codes on the bottom of the tin rather than inside the packaging is just asking to be abused. The knock-on effect is that people buying tins are going to get these codes which have already been used.

But the codes can be reused. It's not a problem.

Really? I haven't tried it, but assumed that you wouldn't be able to do that. Wow, they've really messed this up, not that we should complain.
